Had on tap at an outdoor festival in the spring. Really fantastic all around, though I figured it was a Helles when I was drinking it. I know Allgäuer has another Helles too, which is also great, but I'm almost surprised to see this labeled here as a Pilsner.

Bought it at Grocery Outlet for $4.99 a six pack not expecting much, but was extremely pleased. It has a light amber color and a good German beer taste that I missed.

Huge starting head. Big lumps as it descends leaving a few large lumpy spots behind. Clear golden color.
More grainy than anything else. Some pilsner malt and light hop.
A quiet Pilsner without much flavor but no flaws either. Easy to drink, hard to describe because of its conventional nature.

I tried a 0.33L stein of this beer off the tapper at bar near the Brandenburg gate in Berlin. It poured a clear golden with white head that eventually dissipated and did not leave much lace. The scent had grain and malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced an easy to drink with grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Half litre bottle poured into pint shaker.
A: Bronze, clear, lots of bubbles, small head which disappeared fairly quickly, didn't leave much lacing.
S: Vanilla and malt.
T: Malty, some slight vanilla notes which gave way to sharp tangerine.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Pleasant enough, easy drinker, not spectacular.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that gradually settled down, leaving a large collar of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of bready, grainy and pilsener malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and also has some underlying hints of grassy hops, which contribute a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and very clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and has a pleasant, clean mouthfeel.
