L- Very dark, looks almost black though held to a light I see glints of ruby through it. Almost clear with minor sediment left on base of bottle. Pours with 3mm mid-tan head holding very well.
S- A moderate coffee note.
T- Dryer and hoppier than anticipated from the Look/Smell^, that's on top of the quite prominent coffee.
F- For 6.5% it comes over as lighter, say about 5.2%? Surprising in a way but a pungent taste and lighter feel/body IME lead to this perception of lower ABV%.
O- I'd another 'Belgian Dark Ale' this week which left me underwhelmed, as does this one. I'd expected them to be richer/deeper like Belgian Trappist beers, but IMO to be clear, they're perhaps closer to a stout/porter. Interesting to try but I won't be paying a big premium for them as a specialist/niche import to the UK again. 330ml bottle bought from BeersOfEurope (UK).

ps. This seemed an odd name for a trad/Belgian beer + a logo of a cowboy on a bucking bronco! The brewery website does not explain it. Then I remembered Buffalo Bill had toured England in the early 19xx's and if interested Google 'Did Buffalo Bill visit your town?' a .pdf document at the official buffalobill.org website. He was touring around the world like the Rolling Stones of his day from 1872-1916, incl. a couple of tours of Belgian, the last in late 1906 (yep 1906, not 1907 per this beers name) when he did dates in 7 cities.

Poured into tulip.
Pours opaque dark brown beer with thick 2-finger beige head, ok retention.
Smell - belgian yeasts, dark fruits (dates, raisin), fig.
Taste - rather sweet, caramel, rye bread, slightly fruity.
Creamy medium body, high carbonation.
