Appearance: bright, peachy gold color, though fraught with dark floaties drifting around. Makes me suspicious, perhaps a little afraid. Head is a powdery white, well-retained.
Nose: big with spice, sharp, and citrusy.
On the tongue, smooth, with mellow hops. Good balance, bright, happy taste, short, but friendly finish.
In short, the fruity flavor and generous yeasty taste, creates a nice, sweet brew, easily enjoyed.

Bottle conditioned but most sediment left in bottle by choice.
L- Mid amber, just a vaguest hint of sediment, pours with 2Cm white head. (10 mins later and it's holding well).
S- Just a hint of spice and perhaps some bright fruit notes.
T- Immediately bright too, into malty toasty richness and then the hoppy/bitter note arrives and grows into the finish.
F- It balances bright+hoppy versus rich+'meaty' very well.
O- Very nice, and with it's balance and moderate ABV% (for a monastic beer!) probably a year-round beer. People with more accute taste than mine (esp. with 'winter congestion') will be much better able to describe the elements in the taste.

A nice typical blonde from Belgium - way better than the leffe, Grimbergen or Affligem. A bit hard to find even in Europe but available easily in Belgium.

A 330ml bottle brought back from my trip to Belgium last year. It pours a hazy golden coloured with a thin white head. Aromas has a malty bread with slight spicey notes. Tastes of caramel, bread, yeast & spices. Medium body with a bitter sweet yeasty finish with hints of spice.

L: Light turbid copper with a foam head.
S: Fruits and sweets, caramel.
T: Peach, caramel and sweets.
F: Smooth carbonation, oily. But a weak bitter in the end.
O: Nice belgian pale ale. Like it! Don't know why rating so low.

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a medium golden amber with a half finger off-white head with good retention and lots of lacing. Classic aroma of Belgian yeast, clove, light stone fruit and citrus, a hint of toffee. Flavor is earthy light stone fruit, lemon citrus, Belgian yeast and spicing with a light clove finish. Medium bodied with active carbonation. Nice balance of flavors and all the BPA components are there, but not very assertive, with a mild finish. A satisfactory, but not superlative Belgian blond.
