The colour is dark brown (70 EBC), the liquid is clear. The two finger pale brown head sinks slowly leaving some lacing on the glass.
The smell is dry and lightly roasted. Some nuts and green plants. Smooth alcohol and hints of raisins and strong wine.
The strong and malty taste is somewhat roasted and rather dry. Clean bitter notes in the background, as is some alcohol. It is surprisingly light; medium body. The aftertaste adds some green plants and some earthy notes. No alcohol flavours whatsoever. Some bitterness and a touch of exotic fruits. This beer is is about the brown malts.
The carbonation is medium strong; the mid-sized bubbles are long-lived. The liquid is smooth and a bit sticky.
Not bad at all, not bad at all. However, I had expected an even thicker and sweeter brew.
