The colour is brown, the liquid is clear. The finger thick beige head sinks slowly, leaving no lacing.
The smell is clean and malty with brown bread and caramel. Light bitter notes and hints of coffee.
The taste is quite bitter. Malty but not overly sweet notes of pumpernickel and bitter chocolate. Light to medium body. The aftertaste is smoother with coffee-flavoured milk chocolate, caramel and molasses. The finish got notes of hay and rye bread.
The carbonation is medium strong, the mid-size bubbles are long lived. The liquid is semi-smooth.
A pleasant and highly drinkable light brown ale.
