The colour is pale gold (7 EBC), the liquid is clear. The two finger off-white head sinks slowly leaving lots of thick lasing on the glass.
The strong smell got spicy-yeasty notes and distinct bitterness. Tart fruits and some tree sap. Hints of ripe pears.
The taste is bitter-yeasty with biscuit sweetness. Some earth and nutmeg, hints of dried fruits and sour apple candy. Medium to light body. The aftertaste is smooth with spicy-fruity yeast, hints of orange peel and apricots. The finish is fruity with smooth sweetness.
The carbonation is medium strong, the small bubbles are long-lived. The liquid is smooth.
All in all, a bit light. Still, a highly drinkable session saison.
