The beer is brown and clear with hints of red, the beige head recedes rather quickly but leaves a medium lacing.

The smell is citric, some grape-fruit and some lime, a few malt notes.

The taste is sweet and a bit bland. Porridge with some lemon peel in it.

Medium carbonation, somewhat sticky, the bitterness is a bit sharp.

Too sweet and a bit uneven. Nils Oscar normally is better perceived than this from me.

The colour is deep brow-red; the liquid is clear. The two finger head is pale brown and compact, it sinks slowly leaving lots of lacing.

The smell is relatively mild with fine hoppy notes (flowers, grass, biter oranges) and a fine bitterness. There is a fine malty base with some sweet notes and a touch of rye bread.

The taste is very sweet and malty with roasted notes (caramel, nuts, and brown sugar). There are hops in this, too. Mostly German/English with flowery/grassy notes, dried herbs and some dried fruits. But there are also American notes of lemon peels and grapefruits. The focus is clearly on the malts, like an English ESB. The aftertaste is medium bitter with dried exotic fruits, hay, lemon juice, toffee and hints of sour candy.

The carbonation is mild to medium, the bubbles are very small. The liquid is smooth.

A solid modern pale ale/ESB.

A: Pours clear beautiful amber. A small white kind of light head. Some nice lacings.

S: Buttery and nutty from the malt. Some yeast. Lots of fruits, citric notes and red apples. English floral hoppy style, but there's also a bitterness to the hops. There are light piney notes from American hops - nice mix. Kind of dry smell. Light roasted malt, caramell.

T: Roasted malt, some caramell. Dry bitter hops. Heavy bready maltyness. Fruitness. Kind of dry.

M: Aftertaste holds a long bitterness - really nice. Body is medium and carbonation is light.

D: A nice ale from the boys at Nils Oscar, once more.
