The colour is brown with some gold (25 EBC). Although the beer is bottle conditioned, the liquid is clear. The two finger head is beige and compact; some lacing occurs.
The smell is medium strong. Notes of new world hops and some brown malts. Odd spicy flavours and sweet bread-notes. It is quite smooth.
The taste starts with Belgian yeasty flavours (coriander, green leaves). The malts are smooth with some caramel. Some citric fruits, fresh herbs and a passing dry note of coffee. Medium body. The aftertaste is a bit dryer with phenols and spices. Some biscuits and alcohol. The long finish got notes of orange peels and spices (allspice?).
The bubbles are small and medium strong; the liquid is creamy and smooth.
A very Belgian brew with an unusual spicy flavour which I couldn’t identify (it is Fenugreek). It reminded me of some abbey ale I had sometime somewhere.

An hazy dark copper brew, an off-white head with few lacings but good curtains.
The smell has spices, dill, some fruits and rubber.
Tasting sweet bread, hard toffee, spices and yeast.
Medium low carbonation, a soft texture. A good body with a somewhat dry finish.
A nice spicy saison, but lacks some stability.

A: Well, it's kind of "fally" (Höst is fall in swedish); brown with lots of red hues. The beige tall creamy head settles slowly leaving lots of lacings but never dissapears.
S: Most of what you look for in a Saison is here but with a "fally" twist. Yeast, peppers and sourness are obviously obvious smells, as well as the fruityness; apples, pears and ripe oranges. The malt is a bit more roasted than usually. There is a faint licorice-vibe to it.
T_ Well, now we're talking Saison-basics, eventhough the roasted bready malt is still present. Belgian yeast and spicyness is strong, as is the fruityness. Sour!!! Complex!
M: The aftertaste lingers with both sour and bitter. The body is medium, but still mild and smooth. The carbonation is, as it should, strong but consists of small bubbles so it never becomes offensive.
O: A bit more obviously complex than others, that usually are quite mild but still complex. Nice, though.
