Deep mahogany in color with aromas of roasted coffee, molasses and dark chocolate. Subtly hopped, making it astonishingly smooth and easy drinking for such a big beer.

Poured into a pint glass from a 12oz bottle. This stout is very dark with about a half inch head that left quickly. Nice lacing throughout. The smell is sweet, malty, and creamy. Definite hints of coffe and/or dark chocolate. The taste is very good with a lot of malt and much chocolate flavor. Very nice flavor. Mouthfeel is good, exceptable for the style. I don't think I could drink a lot of these but I can't drink a lot of any stout. This is probably the best out of a sampler of four of CC's beer I have tried.

Totally dark with a large tan head and good lacing. Roasted malt aroma threaded with chocolate. Malty, moderately sweet, gently hopped taste. Layers of bittersweet chocolate, chicory, molasses and dark fruit. Earthy, slightly sticky, medium-to-full bodied mouthfeel. Some nuttiness in the lingering finish.

Relabeled bottle dropped the 'Imperial' descriptor. Only states Peg Leg Stout now. Lists the best by date but not the ABV (originally 8%). Does not taste too boozy, but that could be nuanced. Checked the Heavy Seas website where it is still listed as an Imperial Stout.

I got a bottle of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had subtle dark chocolate and roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dark roast and subtle cocoa powder highlights. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Black in color with no light penetration. There’s a quarter inch of brown on top. The aroma is of dark, roasted malt. I’m tasting bitter dark malt, coffee, and toffee. The mouth is dry and lightly oily.

Pour has a solid 3/4" beige foam head that gradually settled down with a dark brown body. Scent has sweet (brown sugar, molasses) with a counter of burnt and coffee. Taste matches well, with the more bitter components rising to the top. Feel is medium bodied, smooth, and has a linger aftertaste that matches the more bitter components of the spell. Overall a very enjoyable offering.

tasty roasty toasty malty well made stout... fund 6 pack in WV, from bottle: Our Peg Leg imperial stout is done in the English style, focused on malt rather than hops. Devilishly dark yet surpfisingly smooth. Luxurious with notes of coffee & dark chocolate. 8% abv. best by 11/05/20. Would buy again.

Peg Leg pours black, with a small, but lacing head. Weaker aroma hints of black licorice and chocolate. Flavor has a nice kick, generous hints of black licorice, and hints of chocolate. Just a little watery. Overall, a lighter RI Stout, but still nice flavors, very drinkable.

Pours a deep dark mahogany leaning towards black with a caramel colored head Little retention.

Burnt toast, plumb, raisin, burnt sugar, and nuts.

Plumb raisin up front flowing to burnt sugar and a sour wood flavor.
