22 oz bottle was poured into a Spiegelau glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a copper color with great clarity and vision of tiny bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing down the glass as the beer was drank too.

Smell: Lemon, citrus, herbal, caramel, toasted, biscuity, and cracker.

Taste: Nice lemon flavor, citrus, and herbal hops followed by caramel, toasted, biscuity, cracker, and light chocolate malts. Light bitterness and chewy notes in the rear.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, light bodied, medium carbonation, crisp, refreshing, slightlychewy, and light light bitterness.

Overall: Very nice hoppy red ale. Might have to pick up another bottle before the next installment.

Came in a standard pint a clear ruby red with just a slight tint of brown,a sticky half finger off white head atop.A good shot of grapefruit in the nose with some caramel and toast underneath.Caramel and biscuit flavors up front on the palate with some grapefruit and earthy tones in the finish. The flavors are good but not the most complex beer,it's a little abrupt in the finish, again though not a bad offering by any means.

A rusty, dark amber color with a small head.
Mostly sweet malt aroma, a little citrus.
Caramel malt taste with a little bit of citrus fruit.
Sweet, mostly malt mouthfeel. Where are the hops?

I was excited to find this at my local store. I haven't seen a bottle of Mo or Lunch on shelves in months so did not expect to find this. Poured from bomber into tulip glass. Dark reddish brown with a tan head. Smell is muted and mild, a bit sweet with a hint of faint hop aroma. Not sure what hops went int this but it's very mild. Taste is "good malty" but incredibly mild maybe a bit of caramel. Feels crisp but also creamy. I don't know how to feel about this. I wouldn't have thought it was an IPA if I had not read the label. More Of a European dark or Amber ale feel to it. Overall, drinkable but slightly disappointing considering MBC has their name on this.

Poured from a 22 OZ bomber into a pint glass. The appearance is a dark brown and amber mix with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma is hop driven with a nice malt smell blended into it. The taste is pure malt goodness with some hop bitterness at the end. A really good beer.

The look is clear dark amber, with a creamy beige head with excellent retention and lacing.

The aroma is deeply toasted and sweet malts, browned toast, caramel, a touch of molasses and toffee, brown sugar, plum and cherry, candied orange peels, earthy spice, pine, and peppercorns.

On the palate, upfront you get a pleasant brown sugar, toffee, and molasses sweetness, rich, brown bready malts, a hint of cocoa, lots of caramel, and then a nicely balanced, lightly bitter finish of orange pith, orange zest, earth, and delicate pine. Finishes dry with some lingering earthy hop notes.

The body is the heavier side of medium, smooth and filling, palate-coating, and almost creamy.

This is quite the tasty red IPA. Nicely balanced for a style that is often too sweet.

Heavy Seas and Maine Beer Co. collaboration. Red IPA. Pours a light rose-re color with ample head and nice carbonation. Aromas of flowers, citrus and light hops. Has the feel of a Mine Beer Co. brew and is very drinkable with pleasant touches of lemon, orange, hops and malt balancing quite well. Finish is extra clean and slightly sweet. Good beer !

From the 650 ml. bottle with a best by Aug 1, 2016 date. Sampled on March 27, 2016.

It is an attractive deep amber-red color with a lasting off-white head.

The aroma is an array of toasted bread, tobacco, herbal notes, and a little touch of citrus.

Medium to full body. But there is also something acidic and sharp about the texture.

The hop characters blossom more in the taste with a quick malt nip followed by citrus and herbs. Medium dry finish.

Poured from the bottle into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Best before August 1st 2016.

This is a real impressive body color. Dark chestnut red and glowing brown body color. Very clear but extremely dark for an amber with light carbonation. Head creation is off white to a light tan two fingers. Good stayinh power and settling with some fine swiss cheese like bubbles. Real neat looking amber.

Simple mix, of hop but inviting and really well balanced aroma. Soft caramel sweetness and a nice floral take on hops to go with it. Soft hitting citrus as well in the bouquet, mixing nicely with a pillow malt thickness and depth.

Light quenching palate on first sip. Subdued malt softness, and tea like flavors hit in the mid palate. Small bits of floral and nice soft caramel, nearly biscuity and almost into ESB realm. Some hinting almost dark roasty like malts on the finish, clean and full lingering small hop oils and more light caramel accents on the aftertaste.

Real interesting amber, comes off as an almost English sensing IPA and Bitter quality with some American touches. Tasty.

On tap at Blu Wolf Bistro in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a clear light reddish amber, with a half inch off-white head, and a little bit of lacing.

This smells pretty citrusy, piney, and floral, with a bready malt backbone.

This has a really nice firm, bready, and toasty malt backbone, over which citrusy and piney hops. It's certainly been done before, and it's not overly bold, but it's well constructed and very drinkable.

This is medium bodied, very crisp and juicy, with a good level of carbonation.

This was very good- par for the course for MBC, and one of Heavy Seas' better beers.
