This one pours a murky looking brownish amber with about one finger of tan head. Head recedes to a thin lace and it doesn't leave much stick.

Smell is of bread, soggy wheat, lemon, banana and clove. Quite a bit going on here.

Taste is bready and sweet with some clove and other spice. There's a zesty lemony and banana taste midway through and into the finish, which is almost a little acidic. The finish is sweet and the sweetness starts to get a bit much toward the bottom of the pint.

Pretty complex but the acidity at the finish is a bit of a turnoff. Mouthfeel is smooth and quite creamy, leaning toward full bodied.

I'm not a huge fan of wheat beers, and I don't love this brew. It's interesting and definitely worth a try, though.

Aged 2.5 years.

12 oz Poured into snifter

Ripe fruits and sweet malts. No alcohol whatsoever. Slight sparkling apple cider but mostly sweet bready malts and fruit.

SOoo easy to drink. Probably my favorite clipper city/ Heavy seas beer. Too bad they retired it. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

Gonna stock up on bombers before I never get to taste this beer again.

-Just tried a 2011 bottle I had been aging and it was fantastic. So sad that it was my last bottle. I believe it aged incredibly well.
