Poured into a becker a light golden with a real thin head,I was hoping for a nice well defined head to a traditional lager.Toasty bread-like aromas and some iron, full on German malt attack, the hops are on the lighter side with a faint herbal smack.Caramel and honey malts on the palate with a tinge of iron, leafy hops stay subdued. Its a sturdy well built lager but lacks in the noble hop department for me to say its top notch.

This beer pours to form decent head. the head subsides but leaves a good lace.
The aroma is all malt nothing special here. Its sweet with a slight biscuit.
The taste is all lager and nothing else. The taste is very average malt up front with a slight amount of carbonation that settles with a dry pale malt on the tongue. It is a slight bitter at the end.
very average.

Second bottle out of the variety pack, best by August 2011.
Pours a light golden yellow with a pretty faint head. Little retention and zilch as far as lacing goes. Basic lager blandness...
Smells of lightly roasted malt and grain, a hint of buttery biscuit. As with the general appearance, I might die from boredom with this one.
Tastes as it smells, with a smidgen of floral hop presence in the finish.
Mouthfeel is light and easy enough to drink. A bit flat though...
Overall, your basic white bread lager. Nothing special about it, but nothing that stands out as a serious negative either. A dime a dozen...

A little darker and richer in appearance than the style tends to strive for, the color is a deep dark gold. It's thick, and it manages translucency. The head is soft, nearly but not quite pure white, with pretty good retention and some nice spotting.
The malt is sweet, maybe some white fruits flesh and honey, with an accompanying balance of light floral, leafy and grassy hops.
It comes together pretty well in the taste. It's balanced, and it's even pretty flavorful for a light lager. It does, however, have a little bit of a corn-like sweetness into the finish.
This is every bit as crisp and refreshing as the style offers. It really is a summer beer, if there is such a thing, though I'd consider it to be medium-bodied. It's got the easy drinking, the smoothness (creamy on the end, even), and the crispness that's most desirable on a hot day.

A: Pours a clear golden/orange with a small head that dissipates to a thing ring of white around the top. No lacing whatsoever.
S: Grassy, with a hint of citrus. There are also some fresh spices, maybe some sage and also a little bit of dough/bread on the back end.
T: A nice little hop flavor, but very light and controlled. It is balanced nicely on the finish. Leaves a very light corn finish/aftertaste.
D/M: Very easy to drink, a great session beer for sure. A great beer for a warm day around the grill or at the beach. The first beer I have had from the mixed pack I bought, looking forward to the other three beers!

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a small head. Smell is slightly sweet, malty. Taste is rather hoppy for a lager, good balance hops and malts. Feels light in the mouth and has good drinkability. Overall this is a good quality brew.

12 ounce bottle, best before April 2011. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear light gold color with a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent. Aroma is bready malt, grain, and a bit of grassy hops. Taste is the same as the aroma, it's mostly malty with some hops noticable too. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's a little bit slick and has good carbonation. Drinkability is OK, it's smooth and easy to drink. I think it's a decent overall brew.

Pours a light yellow with little head out of the bottle.
Smell is malty, classic Belgain smells with little hops, mainly just malt.
Taste is smooth, yet a little light for being tagged 'classic lager.' To me, a classic lager needs to have a little more to it. This tastes close to a Budweiser at times.
Not awful, not great.

A= nice 2 finger head with golden color
S= and really not too much else here
T a nice lager with mild malty flavor and a sort of mine rally taste like many pale ales share
M a full bodied lager
O a decent lager that taste a little more like a pale ale than a lager but still decemt
