A decent selection for those who like fruit beers...not overly sweet, but a pleasant raspberry scent once poured into the glass. Very nice aroma.
Not hoppy...the taste is beer-like, though, not extremely fruity like a lambic.
A good sipping beer. Don't know if I could drink multiple servings in a single sitting. Tried this in a single bottle purchase. Good enough to drink again if I see it around. Actually found it up in CT on a business trip, but apparently not sold in the NJ area.

I originally compared this brew to some other fruit beers that were much sweeter and to me much more appealing. I still feel that this beer was more along the lines of a lightly carbonated raspberry tea. Color was a brownish tone that looked a bit watered down. Te fruit flavors are there but just not strong enough for me.

Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine March 2007.
A Wheat Beer finished with raspberries rather than fruit essences. Fruit beers tend to help bridge that gap for people who aren't beer drinkers--fruity and sweet tends to be approachable.
Two healthy fingers of dense white head holds together for a good while. Brilliantly clear tawny brew. Sweet, fruity aroma of raspberries, with a bit of mineral and maltiness in the back. Very crisp and smooth with a mild tartness; moderate body reflects an ample but simple malt character. Solid raspberry flavor middle to end. Faint hop bitterness lends a kiss of spicy floral flavor and helps to balance out the fruitiness. Finishes clean and semi-sweet with a modest, bready maltiness, and lingering raspberry flavor.
The mix of wheat and fruit make for a very refreshing and drinkable beer. A good, no-frills fruit beer that's balanced and clean; a sure thing if you like fruit beers. Pairings could range from braised chicken cooked in Oxford Raspberry to simple milk chocolates.

A. light golden body
S. Slight raspberry but very weak.
T. Slight raspberry up front. Very weak. Weaker raspberry taste than the smell. Some tartness.
M. Light bodied and more like carbonated water.
I would not recommend if you are looking for a raspberry ale.

12oz bottle.
Poured a lighter golden color with a huge sized, frothy (5 finger) head. Some floaties in there as well. Strong Raspberry aroma. Raspberry in the taste (not as strong as the smell) and some malts. Fizzy and light body.
Notes from: 11/09/04.

Oxford Raspberry Wheat is a hazy amber ale with no head. The aroma is sweet. It smells like a raspberry bush or a raspberry pastry or raspberry candy. It has a light body and a tannic finish. It has a leafy flavor and reminds me of tea... raspberry tea.

A light golden body with a TON of sediment. Almost no head and therefore no retention or lacing.
Slight raspberry in the nose, and some grassiness.
Taste has some raspberry up front followed by some nice tartness. A little grassy, but finishes with a sweetness that is rice or corn like.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little lifeless.
Fairly drinkable, nothing earth-shattering here.

Sparkling clear, light amber/dark golden lager. Small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is not really heavy on fruit. Very subtle raspberry. Fruity and tart flavor with a whisper of malt. Balanced nicely by lightly bitter hops. Light-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Short, crisp, tart finish. A touch grassy at the very end.

I poured this strange brew into my tumbler at 50 degrees. The beer? had no head whatssoever. It looked like beer other than that. The smellwas fruity like soap. The beer was cloudy and soapy tasting. I think Clipper better let this one go. I will not buy again.

A: Thick frothy head that dropped quickly, looks like watermelon juice, definite red/pink to the beer - 4.00, S: Raspberry is not surprisingly the dominate aroma though it isn't the thick syrupy sort of smell, some other aromas such as lemon possibly - 3.50, T: Kinda brings me back to high school, reminds me of a wine cooler in ways, some tartness on the tail - 3.25, M: Thin and watery - 2.75, D: Maybe I'm overlooking what a good wheat beer involves, but this one just seems to miss the mark, less of a beer than fruit water - 2.75

Presentation: Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle into an elongated pint glass. Label has a picutre of a field of grain and the USDA Organic symbol. Drink before December 2008. Described as "an American version of a Belgian Classic."
Appearance: Pours with just over 1 finger of white head. If I am not imagining it, there is the tiniest hint of pink color to it. This disappears quickly, leaving no lacing and a slight ring of foam. The beer itself is honey colored.
Smell: A slightly sweet tart smell, which can be identified as raspberries. Ambiguous enough that if I didn't know the kind of beer, I might not take a guess.
Taste: Tart upfront, with a definite raspberry taste. Blends into a smooth and unassuming malt flavor. No hop flavor. Slight sweetness in the finish, not astringent.
Mouthfeel: A little higher than average carbonation level, good match for the tartness. Body is average.
Drinkability: Just what I was expecting, a crisp and clean fruit beer. Nothing overly complicated, but nice and refreshing.

This beer poured a hazy, orange color with a medium white head which disappates quickly. Minimal lacing present. The aroma was bready with a hint of raspberry. The taste was weak. The raspberry flavors were bad. It tasted cheap and not well brewed. Like a raspberry preserve. The mouthfeel was medium body with medium high carbonation. Overall I wasn't impressed with this beer.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Beer emerges a light amber with some slight grape colored highlights. Topped with a fizzy white head that leaves some lacing.
Not a pleasant aroma on this one. Fake fruit flavoring with some corn aromas and on overall cheap, adjunct aroma.
Strong berry extract flavor that hits the pallate immediately and basically ruins everything else that follows. The berry flavor is all that I really get. Maybe some caramel maltiness but no hop flavor or aroma.
Not a quality beer. Smells and tastes like there was a cheap extract used for flavoring. I purchased a single only and good thing because I couldnt handle another of this cheap, imitation stuff. Pass this one by.
