hmm, This one apparently got lost in the cellar for awhile. I'll give it a shot anyhow.

Appearance: Poured into a pint glass. Produced a bright orange/copper with a thin half inch of white head. A little sediment. Retention is moderate and some sticky lacing here and there.

Aroma: Big citrus hop aroma. Grapefruit, grassy, and floral and sweet caramel malts.

Taste: After all this time the flavor seems to hold up. Still getting some decent flavor but I'm sure this was probably pretty bangin' back when it was fresh. Big citrus punch right up front. Grapefruit and orange zest intertwines with sweet malts that are a bit more pronounced now that the hops are probably a bit... stale. Grassy and floral hops come into play providing and nice bitter hoppy finish.

Mouthfeel: Just about perfect for a DIPA. Not quite full bodied with a perfect amount of carbonation. Hangs a bit on the low side. I actually kinda like this beer for being 2 years old. The flavors still stand out and the finish still lets you know this is a DIPA.

Overall: I just really wish I got to this one fresh. I'd have to imagine it was damn good, considering how well it's held up.

What better way to celebrate your 15th Anniversary than by brewing a well crafted IPA to thank us many faithful customers? I can’t think of any other way than this.

TYTYVM opens with an impressive cascade of froth, its’ bubbly head slow to dissipate. The body is a translucent copper color in which the smattering of carbonation bubbles can be seen struggling to the surface. The nose detects a short and sweet whiff of floral fragrances that are subtly supplemented with the pleasant air of lemongrass.

The palate receives a warm wash of plum, caramel and apple; all of this finishing with little bitterness. This beer is well balanced – surprisingly crisp for this style, anyway. Another great brew from Hugh and the gang. “Thank you … very much.” Elvis has left the building. (Sorry; I could not resist.)

Found the bottle with Elvis on it very inviting and bought this beer! I poured it into my crystal mug and the color was a beautiful clear copper. A two finger high, off white head builds and dissipates into patchy lacing.
Smelling the beer I detect mostly sweet notes like caramel , honey, toffee and some fruit like mango and pear.
Tasting the beer you will be greeted up front with a rich sweet pallette. Caramel and toffee are dominating at first, but honey and sweet malty notes take charge soon. In the middle the hops start to take control. At first some fruity and citrusy hops pick up the lead and balance the sweetness ofvthe beginning. Then at the end more bitter hops turn the table into a mild earthy bittersweet ending. Very nicely done!
I like the idea of thanking the consumer with a special anniversary brew. This one has a good kick to it!
I am glad, I have this beer in my collection.

With pine and citrus at the forefront, this imperial ipa balances hop flavor and bitterness with toffee malts for a beer on the sweeter side of the style.

Malty sweet aromas start with a medium caramel note but develops into toffee and butterscotch. Grassy hops swirl with citrusy white grapefruit, orange peel, and soft herbs for a complex nose that never allows hops nor malts to dominate.

Grainy-sweet flavors kick things off while the beer eventaully drops the grain flavor in favor of toffee taste and the rise of hops at mid palate. Citrus flavor gain intensity and borrow flavors of fresh grasses, herbs, and pine for a sharply resiny bitter finish.

Medium creaminess carries a bit more of a sugary weight from the balancing malts. Though hops and alcohol combine for a semi-dry finish, there's too much lingering malt sweetness and stickiness to allow for complete dryness. A late return of grain flavors accompany the resiny bitterness that linger into the next sip.

A pleasant enough imperial ipa with a few character flaws but are easy enough to ignore unless going under review. Still, with the plethora of great ipa's out there, this one really gets lost in the shuffle.

Thanks bbehr!

Got this bad boy from Crabbicuss in N00b BIF 4. Thanks a lot man.

Poured a cloudy golden color with a a little bit of off white head. Pretty good lacing on this one as well.

Smell was very nice with caramel malt upfront and hops throughout.

Taste was pretty balanced. Not quite as hoppy as I expected but still a very good beer.

Medium mouthfeel. This beer was smooth and very easy to drink.

I really enjoyed this beer. I'd love to drink it again although I'm not sure if I'll get a chance or not. Looks like it's s one time release. I highly recommend it though if you can get your hands on one.

The last cask of Thank You, Thank You Very Much served at the brewery

A - Served with a golden-orange body with a little clarity...a bubbly white head formed but was gone quickly...not much retention showed but nice lacing

S - The nose is full of fresh, juicy hops mixed with some grassy notes as well as bready malt

T - All of the notes from the aroma can be found in the flavor...there is a quick blast of citrus hops upfront that allow the beer to start off sweet and juicy...it turns the show over to the malts in the middle and they have a caramel flavor for more sweetness...but also in the middle the hops come out as earthy and grassy...the malts are also coming across with some graininess...the finish is full of bitter hops

M - Medium bodied...smooth cask feel...nice balance throughout the beer...bitter finish

O - This beer showed off a nice nose, good balance, and a bitter finish...overall it was a good beer and I'm happy to have had a few from the final cask...now on to the comparisons...this one falls right between Loose Cannon and Big DIPA...it doesn't live up to Loose Cannon but it's miles above Big DIPA

enjoyed this out of a cask at the Heavy Seas BBQ fest. reviewed from notes.

A - caramel color with some amber highlights. minimal head. but does leave a good bit of lacing.

S - pretty noticeable citrusy and grassy hops. some other fruity esters and mildy sweet malts.

T/M - spot on to the nose. citrus and grassy hops. nice sweetness. caramel, roasted malts. slick, medium body, no real noteworthy carbonation.

Overall this is a very good IPA. great flavor, very easy to drink.

Bottle shared by Lee - thanks!

Pours a clear copper color with a 1.5-finger slightly off-white head. The head recedes into a patchy layer on top leaving decent lacing.

Smells of crisp pale malts with good amounts of floral and light citrus hops. Also present are hints of herbal hops and mild amounts of slightly buttery vanilla.

Tastes very similar to how it smells. Mildly sweet pale malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by light vanilla and citrus hops. Midway through the sip the vanilla fades and the flavor profile dries out a bit with the addition of earthy and slightly herbal hops. The hops carry through to a moderately bitter ending.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with smooth carbonation.

Drinkability is also good. I didn't have any problems finishing my glass and could have another.

Overall no other IPA I've had from Heavy Seas has yet to live up to Loose Cannon. Still, this beer is a decent beer for the style and is worth a shot if you can find it.

A: poured an amber gold into my duvel tulip with a half finger of white head that hangs around and leaves a moderate amount of lacing.

S: the citrus hop profile is noticeable before I even get the glass to my nose and upon further inspection there are solid sweet malt notes.

T: the taste is the same as the nose and malt is a little more pronounced. There is no alcohol to speak of.

MF: light and crisp. A tad warm, and a good effervescence.

D: I couldn't find this fresh which is super annoying because I think this would be a perfect beer fresh, however it holds it own with a little time on it.
