12 oz Bottle poured into a small goblet
This beer gets style points for its darker appearance (a ruby brown) and its aroma. As some people have noted, it's much more towards the Belgian end of the spectrum than toward the IPA - its thin, eggshell colored head and lack of carbonation goes more towards a darker Belgian dubbel or tripel. Same for the aroma: nice grapefruit citrus from the hops settles in with the fruity, spicy aromas from the yeast. Very well done there.
It also tastes more like a hopped dubbel or tripel than a slightly spicy IPA, which, again, I'm a fan of. Lots of tart dryness, ester, tang from the hops. Even though the Belgian qualities are to the fore, let it sit for a bit and you'll know you're drinking an IPA. Minor critique there: although the beer's full and thick, I could have gone for a bit more fizz.
Overall, definitely one to check out. Not too big, not too small, not too pricey: worth it for the smell alone. Good thing the rest of it's not half bad either...

Beautiful clear tarnished copper colour with a slight white lacy head. Fruity, lemon, honey and a slight yeasty aroma. Carmel, orange rind with a strong orange finish. Dry finish with a tip of the tongue finish. First time trying a beer from this brewery. Not my last!
