I was expecting a golden amber color when I poured the beer, but the deep burnt orange body was a surprise. The head was small and carbonation mild, both of these lacking considering the IPA and Belgian heritage of the beer. The smell showed influences from both camps, with a hoppy citric aroma mixed with banana. The taste was similarly hybridized, with a BSPA like clean fruity and spicy taste blended with citric hop flavors. Unfortunately, the mouthfeel was somewhat watered down, and beer felt not as complex as it could have been, considering the ingredients. A nice diversion but more flavor would have helped tremendously.

Beautiful clear tarnished copper colour with a slight white lacy head. Fruity, lemon, honey and a slight yeasty aroma. Carmel, orange rind with a strong orange finish. Dry finish with a tip of the tongue finish. First time trying a beer from this brewery. Not my last!
