This is the most amazing beer bar I have ever been to. They have thousands of beers here.

Out with the bad before the good....

It is legal to smoke in the bars in Belgium. This was a bit annoying, but hey... freedom is freedom.

This is Belgium.. ordering was a bit difficult as my french is as good as my italian. Horrible. Thank god for translate.google.com. I was able to translate my order and murder the pronunciation. It was good enough to order my 2003 vintage Fantome Pissenlit.

Young crowd. Everyone was pretty cool. I expected to see some better ordering going on, but I think most people were travellers and ordered what was available near them. I did find some gems though.

The good..

12 different kinds of Fantome. This is my favorite brewery as they make the best Saison in my opinion. The distributor stopped carrying it for the most part so it is very difficult to get. They only carry a couple kinds as well. While I was at this bar I tried as many as humanly possible - when in belgium.

This was quite the experience. This trip was my first time to Africa as well as Europe. This is a must see if you are in the Brussels area. Next time I go i will need to try some others. Not too far there is also a bottle shop. I forget the name, but I was able to get some Westy 8. Not bad considering the stuff is nearly impossible to find. I got 2 glasses and 3 westy 8 bottles. Managed to smuggle them back into the country. I will save them for a VERY special occasion.

Stopped in during a visit to Brussels. Crazy place with three floors. Tons of space, and the taplist was quite impressive. Didn't have a ton of things that can't be found elsewhere, and prices weren't the lowest. However, this is the place for someone who loves beer and doesn't want to sip on lambics at Moeder. I would do both! Despite being busy, service was good.

The food is just alright but hey, who comes to Delirium to eat, right? The beer selection is outstanding and the menu looks like a phone book. They have beers from around the world both on tap and in bottles in their massive fridge. Just about every style and brewery you can imagine is represented. Its easy to spend multiple hours here. Being an American, it was amusing for me to see so many rare European beers at an insanely affordable price compared to what they cost at home. On the flipside, a bottle of Corona cost 6 Euros and a Stone IPA was 11.

If you make it to Delirium, do yourself a favor and order a 2-liter beer. The glass looks like giant fishbowl and its bigger than your head (it also requires a 50 Euro deposit) but its worth it for the experience alone.

Really enjoyed visit there - the menu reads like a great book. . . . .in fact I bought it. A must visit when you go to Brussels. You could go there many times and never drink the same beer once

Have visited several times.. HUGE selection..Lots of tourists but ignore that and drink something you have been wanting to try, or pick at random. If you are needing munchies, good selection of meats and cheeses. Cheers!

Downstairs from the fratty madhouse of Delirium Taphouse is Delirium Cafe, probably where the whole Delirium brand thing started. Tons of bartenders serving tons of young people, dirty bathrooms.

15 taps: Delirium, Floris, Bush, Viven IIPA, Oud Beersel… and tons of bottles, unlike at the taphouse or loft. I bought a 2001 Cuvee Keyzer for only 10 euros to take home.

Wish I had more time and the place was less packed so that I could have perused the bottle menu.

A must visit place, went there this winter and atmosphere was great.
A huge selection of beers and many draft choices. Three floors, with different options, Invited beers in the second floor.

I know it is a touristy but it is also a must stop. We went fairly early at 6 p.m. and it was already slammed.

Getting a beer can be problematic as you line up at the long bar and hope the bartender finally notices you in the sea of other people trying to get their attention. My friend and I were waiting to order four beers. I finally gave up and went downstairs. I was able to get beers and back to our table before he was finally served and they had to change my keg on one of the beers I ordered. My bartender was a nice guy they could just use like four more at each bar…

Speaking of beers, huge selection but I stuck with the draft choices. I had no problem finding plenty of beers I had been wanting try.

Delirium is decorated with a ton of cool old beer signs and even an old copper kettle that has been made into a booth. Numerous rooms and two floors to wander through.

Bonus, right outside the second door is the female answer to the Mannekin Pis statue. Had to search a bit but there it is.

Go early and have a few before moving on to more civilized options : )
