Bottle pour, purchased at Trader Joe's in Nashville. Nice head that stuck to the glass the entire time. Aroma was hoppy and piney. Taste is hoppy with a lot of piney notes. Moderate bitterness. My first Hop Series beer and I enjoyed it.

Looks and smells good. The tastes starts hoppy but it's very bitter. The bitterness finishes very long too. It's also has a very watery and thin feel.

No idea what this batch is since the brewers don't want to put a batch or bottled on date.

Real solid beer. Very tasty with the hops but also clean & smooth. I'm a fan.

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 1 finger ivory head that receded to a thin cap; very nice lacing;
S: herbal;
T: herbal that builds from the start to mid-palate, then stays steady through the finish; a light sourness comes in mid-palate and lasts to the end; moderate bitterness on the finish;
M; medium bodied; moderate carbonation; lightly dry finish;
O: didn't get any citrus notes;

Poured into a Funky Buddha Brewery snifter. Label says Bottled on Date 83 and the rest is illegible except for the "15" at the end so I know it's at least somewhat fresh.
A- Pours a medium amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains decently before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and some sheer wisps of surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves large clots behind.
S- Bready aroma with very little hop presence. I would think it's just an amber ale given the smell.
T- More bread in the flavor with hardly any hop presence. As more sips are taken, bitterness starts to creep in but there's not much actual hop flavor. Weak, stale finish.
M- Slightly sharp with medium carbonation and a lightish body.
O- I added this beer as an American Pale Ale because nowhere on the label does it say it's an IPA. For a pale ale it's okay but, if this is supposed to be an IPA, it's a total fail. So I figured I'd give the guys at Yazoo a little leeway and review this as a pale ale so the score wouldn't be quite so low. Drinkable but pretty boring overall.
