Notes: A new version of an American classic. Our Yazoo Pale Ale bursts with spicy, citrusy hop aroma and flavor, coming from the newly discovered Amarillo hop. The wonderful hop aroma is balanced nicely with a toasty malt body, ending with a cleansing hop finish. Made with English Pale, Munich, Vienna, and Crystal malts, and generously hopped with Amarillo, Perle, and Cascade hops. Fermented with our English ale yeast.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass at the Grainary in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The appearance is a light copper color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is of mild bread and some very faint hops. The taste is mild malts. A very enjoyable beer.

Lightly hazed dark gold body, small white head that dissipates rather quickly and leaves little wisps of lace on the glass. Aroma of mostly floral hops, with some lesser citrus notes, and a good deal of bready malt.

The flavor is very well balanced but approaches blandness. Again the hops are mostly floral in nature with lesser earthy and pine notes but could stand to be amped up a bit, at least to my taste. Prominent toasted bread malt flavor with moderate caramel sweetness. Restrained bitterness and a short finish revealing a late emerging honey-like note.

Medium body and carbonation. Crisp and acceptably clean drinking. Not bad but nothing particularly exceptional about this either, although I could see this having wide appeal with borderline craft drinkers in the manner of Fat Tire and similar beers.

Had on tap at Five Points Pizza in Nashville.

Beer pours a nice golden, slightly orange hue with a fair amount of white head.

Beer smells strongly of sweet, citrusy hops.

On the initial taste, the amarillo hops are very front and center. Very bready and slightly sweet.

Moutfeel is thin and drinkable.

Very good session pale ale.

Tyhe beer pours a copper color with a decent 1 finger white head. Aroma is a nice balance of citrus hops, caramel malts and the fruity english ale yeast they use. Flavor is more of the same and nicely balanced. Medium body with medium-low carbonation. Overall a well balanced easy drinking pale ale.
