Brewed by:
Yazoo Brewing Company
Tennessee, United States

Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): not listed

Availability: Limited (brewed once)

Notes / Commercial Description:
We went back to one of our favorite hops in the series so far, Nugget. This beer was bittered at the beginning of the boil with Warrior hops. We then added Nugget hops at 30 minutes left in the boil, 5 minutes left, and then dry hopped in the fermenter with Nugget for almost two weeks.

Thanks to Webster for bringing a growler of this to our Homebrew club meeting.

Golden red amber color with a half incho of dense white head that lingers with a decent amount of lacing after a swirl of the tasting glass. The aroma is of centenial hops and mcgriddles with a fair bit of nugget in the background. This beer smells great, but failed for me in the taste department. In the later department the warrior hops run rampart and leave the beer overly bitter without the malt background to offset the alpha acids. Setup was great on this beer, just failed to deliver in the end. I feel like a beefed up grain bill would make this an amazing beer.

Thanks to Cavie for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the bready malt and grassy hops with some citrus notes mixed in. The flavor is big on the hop flavor. I get a ton of grapefruit and orange as well as some grass. There is a little bit of bread or toffee malt but the beer is all about the hops. The bitterness is low to medium and compliments the flavors nicely. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

thanks to drabmuh for this one.

poured from the bottle to a sun king shaped pint glass a thin maple brown with a wispy off white short lasting head leaving nice retention.

aroma of dark fruits and (my least favorite) earthy hops.

pretty darn malt forward for a 'hop project'. color me impressed though. a malty IPA is my kind of IPA. earthy sweet, fading to a bit of bitterness toward the back of the mouth.

thicker than expected, full bodied, medium carbonation, bitterness, but well within reason.

drinkable - i'd guess so.

Thanks to drabmuh.

Pours copper / orange color. One finger head falls to a top coating leaving spots of lacing.

The hops are fading. there are some tropical fruit and earthy aromas...it almost smells like a Belgian IPA.

Like the smell the flavor reminds me of something Belgian. It is peppery with a medicinal quality.

Nice body and carbonation...with just a hint of bite...Would have loved to try this fresher.

Though past its prime, I could enjoy a few more of these.

Beer poured into a Bruery tulip. Beer is clear and reddish in color with a tiny minimal head and some lacing on the glass. Carbonation is moderate to low.

Aroma is mildly hoppy but pretty malty. Its sweet and earthy.

Beer is malt forward and moderately bitter. There isn't a lot of hop flavors in the midpalate or forward, just some vanilla bitterness at the back. This is my first beer from yazoo, I hope the other Hop Projects are better.
