Full Disclosure: Yazoo is my first true love in beer. At one point, I legitimately wasn't a fan at all. Then I did a little European travel with my best friend and he convinced me to try various odds and ends in London and Brussels, making me realize there was more in the world than Yeungling. The transformation was complete when we got home and I tried a Yazoo Dos Peros and realized there was great beer in America, too.

That being said, this place is amazing. Go, take the tour, eat and drink at the bar, and go again. The tour guides are very friendly and usually a little tipsy which means a more fun tour and more beer for everyone (they pour it in stages of the tour from growlers in a much less regimented way than I've seen at say Terrapin or Cantillon). You can tell everyone really loves what they do and the product they produce. The brewery has an adorable story, too, so be sure to ask if they don't bring it up.

Sad side note, they can't serve their "Sue" there because of TN's draconian liquor laws. I'm out of the state now, so I don't follow it as closely as I used to but I believe legislation is in the works to change that.

It can get a bit crowded, so go early or be patient. Fun area of town with some nicer restaurants and shopping.

Pro Tip: Great date night consists of this and a walk over to Urban Flats for dinner afterwards.

All in all, great place to visit and try some great local beer.

I was there on a Thursday around 4:30. The place was not crowded at all but started filling up around 5:30. The tour was sold out when I arrived so I wasn't able to take it. The girls behind the bar were courteous and helpful. The brews were solid as I like most of their offerings. The place has a good vibe where you can go and relax. You can buy packaged beer for consumption off site if you wish in bottles or growlers/crowlers. A good amount of souvenir glasses, shirts, hoodies etc. for purchase. Hope to get there again when I'm in Nashville.

Not much on food selection but the beer delivers. Heffe and the Sue are excellent. The tour was very good and worth talking. Included samples and a take home sampling glass.

Pretty cool place to visit. I really liked the outdoor patio section, though I wish it were a bit bigger. There was lots of space inside, very long bar area for seating, and I like how it was easy to visually see what was on tap. Wish I had opted to take the tour as I overheard lots of good comments about it but didn't have time.

Whenever I'm down in Nashville again, would definitely stop back in for a beer.

Good up and coming brewery. Try the Sue and anything in the Embrace the Funk series.

i wish i had more time here, sort of had to blow in and blow out, but the beer i drank was sensational, really super good, the brett fermented barrel aged saison with sangiovese grapes in it. seriously epic beer, one of my favorites from tennessee ever. the spot is cool, centrally located and quite large, with the brewhouse separated from the tap room and maybe 15 beers on, quite the list. they had several of the embrace the funk series beers, which i think is where these guys do their best work, but they also had a really awesome red ipa, and a bunch of others i ran out of time to try. open feel, its pretty nondescript on the inside, but the service was awesome, i love the southern welcome and hospitality, i felt at home right away and was reluctant to leave after just one beer. this is a sweet spot, making some of the best beers in the state, and a place that is definitely on the itinerary next time i roll into town!
