Day thirteen of the München Oktoberfest took me to the Aiken Brewing Company, where they had just put their Oktoberfest on-tap. I tried the Oktoberfest along with their other offerings in a flight of 2-3 oz. (not sure which) sampler mugs.

Pours a dark copper-amber hue with a slight off-white head of foam that leaves light lacing on the glass.

Aroma is mostly of sweet toffee-like malt.

Medium-bodied, with notes of sweet caramel up front, with a bright, fruity hoppy middle along with a bit of nuttiness, leading into a long, sweet finish.

A highly drinkable brew, and an excellent representation of the style. This one sticks out among some of the Oktoberfests I've tried this season.

Draught @ Brewpub: this one poured a crystal clear amber color. There was about no head o nit or any lacing. Caramel malts to the nose, some nuttiness. The taste is very good. Malty, smooth, some nuttiness. A tasty Oktoberfest.
