I was in the area and decided to stop in. I have been to Beer Zoo before since my grandparents lived nearby and shopped at the wal-mart. I find the place easy to browse and view what is available both in the cooler and in the racks which are set up in aisles perpendicular to the entrance. I noticed a variety of locals on the shelves - examples listed below(others reviews).

The place has ordinary service and nothing really to set it apart in that respect. I found the selection and quality to be above average with many quality craft choices and pleny of macro options for those who enjoy them. Overall the prices are average for the area and I would probably not go out of my way to shop here since I live closer to Camp Hill than here and would rather go to Westy's for the selection, but if in the area and the price is right I might be so inclined.

Since I was visiting my parents in Lebanon and my brother in York, I just happened to look in at the WalMart along RT322 and saw this place sitting down the hill. Obviously, my next go made me have to check it out. Mix-a-six off in the right. The usual "case" stuff, because it’s PA. It’s pretty clean, somewhat warehouse-like on the inside, but looks like a chain store from the outside. I’d probably give it another go if I was visiting in the area.

I was driving by the strip mall this is located and saw "Beer Zoo" and I was intrigued. When I walked in there were cases of beer stacked in palates that were up really high. Of course they had big fancy displays for all the macros...but they had a nice area laid out for the good stuff. A decent selection of macros...your typical PA brewers and some others (Saranac and Ithica).

Wasn't asked once for any help. The two gentlemen there decided to stand outside and smoke the entire time I was there. And as for their prices...nothing special. Ballpark for all PA distributors. A decent place to stop...but not a ZOO!

Cavernous store stacked to the brim with macros in all their glory. Aisle after aisle of nothing but beer. Toward one side, two aisles of cases of micros and better imports on racks. The usual suspects are there (PA breweries, Stoutds, Troeg's, etc.) but there were some different (and new, at least to this area) variety packs, like Ft. Collins and Ithaca. I came home with a case of Ithaca and figured I'd give it a try. The guy behind the counter didn't know much about the selection, but was really friendly. I was 4th in line... the only one not buying a "light macro" of some kind. I was really hoping someone would ask about my selection so I could give them my personal thoughts on real beer. Oh well... I'll definitely drop in again just to see what's new.

Visited the store on a Saturday morning.
This is the typical Pennsylvania beer distributer that is trying to go after the microbeer market. They have the usual selections of PA microbrews (Troegs, Victory, Appalachian, Penn, Yuengling), Some British beers, as would be expected, and some other North American microbrews. Some Saranac available.
The main focus, as with most PA distributers, is how cheap they can sell the macros. Prices are comparable to other stores in the area.
Worth a stop if you are in the area, but nothing to seek out.

A Saturday morning visit.

Quality: The quality is good to above average. Beer Zoo has a very large layout with several aisles of beers (both macro and craft).

Service: Someone was working behind the counter. We did not really interact but the store is a self-serve kind of place so I was not expecting a high class waitstaff.

Selection: Decent non-macro selection. They carry the requisite Yuengling line as well as other PA selections, Stoudt's, Troegs (including 2006 Mad Elf), Weyerbacher (their big brews case). They also had bigger name crafts like Saranac, Shipyard and Stone (yes, they have a case or two of Arrogant Bastard at $36 per, not bad for AB). Internationals were led by Leffe.

The selection is not stellar but for the restrictive PA case laws, it is not shabby. The restrictive nature of the case makes purchases a little expensive too.

This is a distributor in a little plaza off of route 322. The sign above the store is large block letters "BEER ZOO". How can you not check out a store with that name? When you walk in it is kind of like a warehouse. There are rows of cases on metal frame bookcases. There are a fair amount of macros but also a nice mix of local and regional bres. Since this is PA you can only buy cases in a store like this. Gotta go to a bar to get sixers or singles.
The local representation inlcudes a variety of cases from Stoudt's, Vicotry, Weyerbacher, Troegs, Appalachian, and Penn. Also some random stuff like a variety pack from Shipyard. You can also go into a small walk-in coooler and grab cold brews, the colder stuff is more based on macros, but still some good stuff.
There is also one shelf of what they must consider high quality imports. I saw some of the large european brews and stuff from other areas of the world. A pretty good selection but since I already had 2 cases of beer in the car I opted not to buy anything else.
