Toña is a 4.6% lager introduced in 1977 by ICSA as a direct competitor of the Victoria brand. After the 1996 merge, CNN relaunched the Toña brand as a traditional Nicaraguan beer, often associated with the local culture and customs.

This looks like beer I’d want in a humid environment. Crystal clear and super light gold, not much head or retention but it doesn’t bother me. It’s color says drink me, you’re thirsty.
This beer has a an almost cornbread like smell to it. It is sort of sweet and sort of grainy.
Taste is slightly sweet and again like the nose, grainy. It is almost like a white bread with some grains thrown in. That’s about it, it is very simple and non complex.
Mouthfeel is super light, prickly carbonation feel, and very easy drinking clean finish.

Presentation: 12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass.
Look: straw yellow color. Relatively small head that evaporates rather quickly. Decent amount of lacing.
Smell: maltiness, bread, grains, sweet honey, mowed grass, veggies, floral hops. Pleasant smell overall.
Taste: similar to the smell, maltiness, bread, grains, sweet honey, mowed grass, veggies, and floral hops. There is more hops in the taste than you’d expect.
Feel: slightly creamy but light mouthfeel. Quite bubbly. Carbonation is above average.
Overall: this beer is better than average for an adjunct lager. No offensive flavors or aromas. The taste kind of reminds me of Red Stripe, which I personally like. I imagine this type of beer is ideal for the hot and humid climate of Central America. It’s worth trying if you run across it, but not a must have.

(review from July 2022) Extremely light, delicate, gentle lager with barely-there malty flavor, bordering on thin, but it's certainly slammable! Your mileage may vary.

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the snifter, darker than than typical light Lagers. Modest aroma of grain with musty nuts. Taste is cereal, cornbread, and slightly sweet. Fizzy and decent mouthfeel. Overall this is a pleasant light Lager of no distinction, but better than many others in its class. From the 12 oz can purchased in the Northwest. Number codes on the bottom.

12oz green bottle poured into a pint glas
A- pours a crystal clear straw color with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces quickly to leave nothin behind
S- bready malt, grainy, light floral hops, clean & non-offensive
T- slightly sweet up front with with both bready and grainy malt notes. Mid-palate gives just a whisp of floral and grassy hops. The finish is slightly sweet with more grainy malt on the linger
M- light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish
O- not bad at all, I'd take this over BMC lagers

12 oz bottle from Total Wine and More in Short Pump, VA. The beer poured a clear gold color with a small white head that quickly dissipated to a white collar on the beer. The aroma of bread and hints of grain. The flavors are smooth with no hop bitterness. The beer has a medium body nd light carbonation. Good for a pale lager.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite The Beer Store on Goyeau St. in nearby downtown Windsor. My first beer from the Managua, Nicaragua brewery.

12oz bottle. Stamp on bottle neck is '102225 L4296 0232'.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of white head with the pour quickly collapses, leaving a minor surface storm and a bubble fed thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma is bright with malty grain and a definite sweetness.
Taste introduces more dusty hay but still malty with grain. The sweetness continues. Very slight floral hops.
Medium mouthfeel. Minor tongue sting. Clean with a touch of melted caramel feel in the mouth. Carbonation is very good.
Not skunked. Drinking this beer cold stays away from a slide to any cardboard flavors.
