A fine and smooth creamy head on a glittering orange color. Nice smell, reminding me a bit or the Rogue American amber. Very strawberry-like, sweeter than the Rogue amber. A very light hint of wood and chocolate in the background. Very sweet, candy-like, almost artificial and soapy. This smell somehow reminds me of my godfather, or of his house, maybe for the smell of the laundry detergent he uses, I really dont know. The taste was quite surprising, as the red fruit aspect of the smell was totally overwhelmed by a mouthpuckering soapy citrus character. The mouthfeel is still quite smooth, or as smooth as it can get with the strong citric character. Not quite an amber ale taste though. The smell made me expect something else. I liked the smell better than what I got in the taste.

Poured from 50cl bottle. Nice head, small bubbles. The color is on the light side for ambers, almost blonde. It is quite cloudy, possibly unfiltered. The aroma is very pleasant, with notes of cloves and citrus.
The taste is dominated by malt sweetness and fruitiness, with a bit of hop bitterness in the background. It is well balanced, though light. There are no aggressive or heavy malt flavors that I remember from ambers in the states. This beer reminds me of a nice light sunned tea in the summer.
