Best of class for the indian pale lagers, but thats not saying much. Mild smell crisp flavor but ultimatly still a run of the mill mass produced lager. It goes bettet with food than on its own.

This is not the worst beer I have ever had but it does come in a very close second until you have got use to the taste. First time I had ever had a sweet tasting beer. Unfortunately, it is the only beer readily available in most of rural India so it is either that or nothing. After about 6 of the things (not all at once. That I think might be impossible), it no longer tastes so bad. Actually, I think it might depend on just how thirsty one is.

12 oz. bottle

Pours clear golden yellow with a frothy creamy white foam head. Smells like sweet grainy barley malt with floral grassy hops. Tastes like sweet grainy malted barley with floral grassy hops. Feels light bodied, slick and crisp with moderate carbonation. Overall a nice pale lager.

It has the skunky pale taste to it, smells the same way. Not too light of a mouthful but light enough to go down easy and drink numerous of them, not great by any means but not bad.

Not bad. Pretty average lager. A little sting on the tongue. Moderate fizz. I would drink it if someone gave it to me but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

From the bottle, it pours a golden amber with a moderate head that lasts a bit. Some grain in the nose. The mouth gets a touch of bitterness in the beer, along with some malt. Slight aftertaste.

Bring on the Tandoori Chicken.

It's the thought that counts, contract brew notwithstanding. Decent enough, clean, crisp, light color and flavor, not demanding even for wine drinkers. Appearance is it's best attribute.

A food beer for a theme dinner.

0,33l bottle.
Clear, but not crystal golden beer with 1-finger white head, moderate retention.
Smell - grain, rice.
Taste - grainy with decent hop presence.
Light body, good carbonation.

Clear pale golden with a decent head of foam. Very weak smell of hops and malt. Taste is a bit stronger: malt and hops again. Taste tends to lean more to the bitter than the sweet side, which is alright with me. Moderately crispy and refreshing. Oh well, just a run-of-the-mill pilsener, but these brews are all about context. In tropical Bangalore, with 50 degrees Celsius and no rain, right after finishing a mutton vindaloo, these beers are probably worth their weight in gold.

Brewed under contract in New York. There's not much to this beer--green bottle means it's pretty skunked. Oh boy. Grainy, fairly gritty, quite herbal. Moderate-high carbonation and middle-of-the-road body. It's far from poison, but doesn't really do anything to distinguish itself from the rest of the pack. I'd happily enjoy a couple with some spicy Indian food, but . . . that's about it.

Bought a single bottle to try and sampled back on 3/17/16. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a flute glass.

Brew pours a light straw-yellow in color with a white fizzy head that doesn't last long. Aroma...well isn't real pleasant to be honest. Some musty grains for the must part. Taste pretty much follows the nose as well. Medium-bodied with lots of carbonation. Overall, a one time brew for me.

Poured at 43°F from a 12oz bottle (no date) into a Pilsner glass. Consumed on 18Mar16.
LOOK: Pours with three fingers of white foam that shrivels into a quarter fingers worth after 1 minute and 15 seconds. A subtle amount of thick lacing is left behind from the head dissipation. Gold in color. There is a large quantity of small, rising bubbles. Lacing is subtle in quantity and both thick and very thick.
SMELL: Mild aromas of car exhaust and sugar water are poorly backed by subtle grassy barley, earthy hop, and spicy hop aromas.
TASTE: The initial taste is a mild bombardment of all the aromas, but in flavor form. All flavors begin to fade away, except for car exhaust, leaving just that as the final taste.
FEEL: Medium-bodied and highly carbonated. Goes down rough due to the carbonation. Finishes crisp.
NOTE: This was truly a foul beer. The taste of car exhaust is not something that I enjoy. I would take Bud Light over this.

Very weak straw yellow pour, very minimal pour. Aroma wasn't all that. Somewhat metallic coin aspect.

A little bit bitter, high carbonation, super light body. Almost no hops. I don't get why this is so expensive.

Hot weather only beer for me. Kinda weak in every category. Even skunkiness would be an improvement.

Clear red-gold amber, foamy, wispy eggshell cap of low to moderate retention. Smells skunky but somewhat sweet. Typical, green bottle. Taste is grainy (malts, adjuncts) and grassy throughout, beer is not overly sweet for the style, despite the nose. Somewhat floral hops balance well, making this taste not too far off from a German Pilsner, albeit less bitter in the finish, less robust from the start. Fortunately not too skunky beyond the aroma. Light-bodied, but ample sudsy, fizzy, to effervescent carbonation, giving it an apparent thickness. Incredibly crisp.

Golden color with a thin head with short retention, but keeping a constant plate.
Aroma with notes of floral and grassy hops, lager yeast and bread malt sweetness. This sure smelled better than the ones I had back in India a few years ago.
Flavor with notes of malt sweetness, grains, some cardboard and a bit of corn syrup. Sweet aftertaste.
Light to watery body with medium, but fizzy carbonation.
Decent for style, adjunct lager with perceivable floral hop notes and no strong off-flavors. This one actually felt better than the ones I had in India (I guess people from there miss something else or I was lucky and they preserved it well during the trip, local storage might not be ideal). Also, if people didn’t know this was from India, they would never mention that it pairs well with Indian food, at least not differently than most adjunct lagers. Drink it cold...
Ps. even there I didn’t take the supposed glycerin out by doing the water trick.

Pours a thin, yet fairly frothy head. The scent is very weak, not bringing anything good, yet at least nothing bad. The taste is very clean, with a light taste of barley and faint hops. The mouthfeel is then wonderfully smooth. Overall a decent lager, wish I could get more in Canada!

Pours a clear light golden color with white head. Cereal grains on the nose, not much else; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with cereal grains. Simple lager.

This is a really good beer in India and not so much in the states. Often times it suffers from the Euro Green Glass Skunk Monster. But if it is fresh it is downright awesome to session with.

Smelled slightly skunky when I opened the bottle. Poured a nice golden color with a small quickly dissipating head. I actually liked the flavor, not skunky at all. Has a nice finish too, not dry at all. Has a slightly unique flavor. Would buy it again.

From bottle, Pours clear golden with a white head that leaves no lacing. Aroma and flavour are grains, malt, and grass, with a slightly dry finish.its ok.

Maybe i just got a magic bottle, but this beer exceeded my expectations. Quite malty-sweet, nose isn't too skunky, a bit of watery carbonation in the mouthfeel, and the finish is slightly more bitter/complex than a typical lager. Granted American adjuncts have set the bar pretty low, but I was fairly surprised by the sweet caramel malts. Might even prefer this to something like a Boston Lager (Sam Adam's beers are just sooooo skunky.) Nice light, understated beer.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pilsner glass.

Appearance: pours a 1" white head that drops quickly with slight amount of lacing. Color is clear light golden with a moderate amount of streaming bubbles.

Aroma: grassy hops and some yeasty bread dough.

Mouthfeel: light and fairly crisp with a mostly dry finish.

Flavor: biscuit and sweet barley sweetness with some noticeable grassy and herbal hops in the finish. Slight metallic flavor also is present.

Overall: good, but not nearly the best in this style.

Looks smell and tastes just like another dull lager, I presume a curry provides the flavour
Really lacking in all elements even for the generic lager style

It exceeded expectations so it has that. Some minerality. citrus is detectable. Smooth, sweet finish. Pours very clear. Almost non existent color. Having it with fish.

It says premium but is not premium at all. Colour and appearance. Pale staw to yellow with a finger of white head. Thats the only good thing about this beer. I give it 3 for appearance. Hardly anything special. Smell hardly anything characterestic. Taste bland slighy fruity. Beer in US surely different fron Indian. The Indian tastes better. Best temperature to serve 8 to 10 deg c. Goes well with spicy food. What this beer lack is character. It is just an indian lager hardly eligible yo be called premium.
