Awful, just plain awful... It looks pretty average for macro swill, but the rest of the beer is so bad it detracts from what little it has going for it in the appearance department. It has a terrible sweet corny aroma and some other garbage like smell. Maybe it's the water. The taste is sweet for a fraction of a second and then a horrible bitterness takes over and kills the rest of the experience. I expected better and was blown away at how bad this beer is. Buddha would be ashamed...

Very light yellow in colour with a small, bubbly white head than disappears to leave a small lacing ring after a couple of seconds. Lots of bubbles too.

Very poor with grain & corn the only distinguishable smells apart from a faint hint of alcohol.

Grain, vegetable oil and skunky in taste, not very pleasant at all. It has a light bitter aftertaste & the beer sits funny in your stomach.

Bubbly & light bodied, to much carbonation. The lager has a crisp finish but is not even remotely refreshing.

A very poor beer, one of the worst I think I drank so far. It had no redeeming features & didn't settle well in my stomach after drinking it. Avoid this beer at all costs.

At first sip I was hoping this stuff had already gone over, but checking the best before date on the back it was still in the ballpark. So there are no unforeseen circumstantial factors getting in the way of what follows....

Forget the worst beer or lowest scorer I've sampled to date, this bodyslams it all through the mat, and then chews on a turnbuckle for good measure. This stuff is bad, and the "Slow Brewed For the Connoisseur" claim on the neck label is several thousand degrees beyond false advertising.

It pours out of it's sturdy 330ml brown bottle a flaccid pale yellow, more like apple juice than any fermented malt beverage I have ever laid eyes upon. The aroma is reminiscent of sour, rancid bandaids, as well as cider that has been sitting out for a week from that party you were too lazy to clean up after. Flavour is beyond words, I've poured out my own bad batch homebrew that tasted far superior to this. I've poured out store bought beer that makes me think back fondly compared to this. If I'm ever trapped in a mine for more than a few days and am forced to drink my own urine, then it will be shortly after that experience that I will confirm that this "beer" tastes very similar to it.

I don't mean to intentionally slam, haze or rant about this stuff, but it's truly awful. If you see it on the shelf avert your eyes and hastily run away, it may take on other, more demonic forms.

manufactured in Oct. of 2011

a: Unbelievably pale, it looks watered down. It poured with a thin fizzy head.

s: Sweet corny badness. Nothing in the way of anything I associate with beer.

t: Tastes like weak, vile malt liquor. Very sweet and corny.

m: Thin and watery.

o: Just horrible.

Well, I saw this bottle was only 2 months old, so I figured if I'd ever try it, might as well be now, and probably the freshest I'll ever get. Pours a very pale golden color with a tiny white head that was gone in a flash. Lots of carbonation. Not getting much in the way of aroma, mostly some damp grains, and no hops. Flavor is.. ummm... interesting. It reminds me of the way a wet dog smells. hairspray, mild grains and adjuncts. Ugh. This is terrible stuff. Light body, basically undrinkable. I can't finish this thing.

Pale straw color with fizzy head and little lacing. Smells of cereal grains and tastes the same. Bubbly mouthfeel that feels just like Coors Light. Not the kind of beer to purchase every day or really any day. Don't waste your time or taste buds.

Let's see... it didn't ruin a great Indian meal... it rinsed the food into my gullet... its low ABV didn't leave me feeling like I couldn't drive... it came in a pils glass... it wasn't the worst thing I've had to drink. Was it beer? It was yellow (but then, so are a lot of other things); it had almost no carbonation; it had a puffy head for a short while; it was cold. No aroma, no taste.

It poured a light ugly straw color, with a fluffy lager head. Smell is grassy alcohol. Taste is lacking, real weak malt, vegetable like hops, small hints of sweet hay, light body with medium carbonation.

I didn’t like this at all, bland flavor and what was there was not good, odd mouth feel as well.

Poured from a 22oz. bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a pale yellow color with a very thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of grain, corn, malt and a little bit of hops.

T: The taste is slightly sweeter than most macros, with flavors of corn adjunct & barley. The label reads “Brewed from the finest malt and choicest hops.” Well, the malt character seemed “fine” meaning thin, not premium and the hops are almost undetectable. The after-taste is grainy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp but not very smooth, light-to-medium body, way too high carbonation, finish is dry and clean.

D: Not very tasty and it’s not the easiest beer going down. The label also reads “Slow brewed for the connoisseur” in 4 different places, but since this just seems like fizzy-yellow-beer from India to me and the bomber cost only $0.99, I’m not really sure what type of connoisseur they brewed this for. Maybe a Bud drinker that wants to be able to say he tried a beer from India?

One finger head of white foam that didn't stick around more than a thirty seconds. Broken lace with some clinging power. Color is a 3 on the SRM beer color chart. Smell like wet wheat and malt. Flavor is harsh, that of musty wheat, malt, and little hops. Very watery in my mouth, just a little bite from the carbonation. Could do better with one of the big three, not worth the price.

Piss poor pale lager from India. Aroma will tell you something is wrong from the start, musty, sour, citrus, cereal. Appearance is as expected for a lager. Taste again is sour, musty, corn, and overall watery mouthfeel. Lingering taste is not pleasant. Thumbs down.

Pours almost invisibly. Pale straw color, little bubbles, smells like a dive bar. Tastes like, a dive bar. Imagine if they tweeked Bud Light just a little, with ah, maybe more water. Easy drinking beer, but for the price your probably paid for it, you're thinking that Pabst is much more worth it. You could drink a lot of these in a sitting, but why you'd ever want to, I have no idea.

Do they get any points for a cool label?

A light-medium lager without much taste. Low carbonation. Basically a lawn mower beer - drink it for hydration. Cheap - $2.59 for 22oz. Imported by American United Breweries Limited. Label says "Slow Brewed for the Connoisseur" - really???

This brew pours a pours a clear pale straw color with a large white fluffy head. The head lingers for a long while, and leaves nice lacing. The aroma is light and corny. The taste is corny, and slightly bitter (but not bitter in a good way). The mouthfeel is thin bodied, and highly carbonated. Overall, this beer isn't my thing.

and so it begins another adventure down the road of the bottom of the barrel. stopped in the store on the way home and grabbed a few more tonight. served cold and poured into a pint glass, this one was consumed on 08/16/2010.

the pour was actually slightly better then what i was expecting. nice light golden color with a light head of white that was about two inches high and faded down quickly into a thin film that barely covered the sides.

aroma is off, musky wet hay, corn, lots of grain, just that macro lager aroma that is just wrong on so many levels. clean, clear taste, but nothing more to it then glorified water to be honest. highly carbonated with only a hint of dry hops on the finish.

overall while not a drain pour, it was close. again these things are ok freezing cold, but when they warm up look out.

650ml bottle poured into a mug.

Appearance is clear dark straw. Tons of carbonation bubbles and a constant half finger white head.

Smell is awful. Sweet smell of sugar cookies which is odd. Also an unappealing wet dog aroma. Really nothing good at all.

Taste is a little better but not much. The sweet cookie taste is there along with just a hint of grain. A quick flash of grassy hop flavor but almost no bitterness.

Really just an awful beer. Too sweet and too many weird flavors. Will not get again.

Decent looking macro, fluffy, full bone-white head receeded quickly leaving some small bits of lacing and a white foam ring. Macro yeamber in color, just a tad cloudy in appearance. aroma included some cooked veggies and a hint of husky grain. Taste..well, let's hope India doesn't take over the world because they don't know shite about brewing beer. Lot's of flavours going on here and none of them are good. Big blast of turnip starts the ride ( a term I'll use loosely) Did note a bit of sweetness and some sweet hop...but an almost gagging, toxic gasoline type taste dominates. Very bitter on the final note. Slick, decent carbonation, but the aftertaste kills anything worth my time here. Y-U-C-K!

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a 0.5L Pilsner Urquell-branded pilsner glass.

Appearance: Pours a translucent, very pale (almost white) yellow color. The head is large and fizzy and leaves considerable lacing on the glass as it quickly dissipates.

Smell: Has a slight whiff of hops but it's very fleeting. Besides that, corn and other adjuncts dominate.

Taste: This is one of the worst-tasting beers I've found. I don't even know where to begin. It starts with a grainy bitterness and finishes sickly sweet. This actually tastes worst than most American macro and light lagers. I actually would prefer some light American lager to this. This is terrible.

Mouthfeel: Thin and watery with waaay too much carbonation.

Drinkability: Ugh...This beer is barely drinkable. It might be better with food, but I doubt it. Stay away!!

One of the palest lagers this side of a "silver bullet"...decent head, a little macro-like but holds some rocky shapes. Smell of detergent-like hops. Wow, this stuff is pretty tasteless, greasy corn-syrup maltiness and a nasty but light hop flavor that's as subtle as whackin' your thumb with a hammer. I should have given it a flash freeze down to 35 degrees F... One of those beers you try just so you can say you had a brew from India. $3.50 a bottle? Way too much...

Had this beer in a bottle that was poured into a glass. The waitress explained that this was a traditional Indian beer, and was the typical light beer. The beer is a light beer with the a typical clear look. The taste is below average and is similar to a Bud light. It has a full flavor up front without much after taste. Not a bad beer to have with dinner. Cheers

A 330ml bottle with a BB date of 17/12/2010, so it's a little out of date. Picked up from a local off-licence that was selling it for next to nothing (probably due to the date). Label features the Taj Mahal (of course) and describes it as a premium lager brewed in India.

Poured into a pint glass. Very pale straw colour with a thin foamy head that disappears within 30 seconds. Medium carbonation. Aroma is strange - initially it smells distinctly of sour apples, almost like some sort of acidic cider. After a while this gives way to an effete malty odour that doesn't seem particularly appetising.

Taste - in a word - yuck. A very weak malty character with almost no discernible hops or bitterness. Very watery, and initially quite fizzy from the carbonation. Other notes that appear include weak apples (at the beginning) and an unpleasant off flavour that is reminiscent of mould or fungus. Not good!

To summarise - it resembles mineral water that might have been stored next to beer at some point, and has some nasty undertones. I've tried quite a few lagers in my time, but this could well be the worst beer I've ever consumed (with exception to oxidised beers that I've tasted). To be avoided! It only cost me 60p, but I want my money back...

PS. I still have another bottle of this. Who do I hate that much?

My first review - wish it was a better brew!

Pour - Poured into a glass. Small head which dissipates quickly. No lacing.

Aroma - Not much, smells like a bud light.

Mouthfeel - Watery and light, mild carbonation.

Taste - Tastes like a bud light...no flavor and bitter finish.

Thought it was an import on the menu, seems more like a macro spinoff.

Kind of an odd duck. Uck. First of all, the color was very pale yellow. Very little head and with no lace. The aroma was pleasingly slightly hoppy. The flavor is bitter hop and almost no malt. Highly carbonated and sharp. Watery thin. It wasn't flat out bad. Sure wouldn't be on my list of beers to seek. Still, could be worse.

So I'm in the beer store and I spot this brew stating: "brewed in India." I could help but think damn... haven't ever had a brew from there, so against my better judgement I purchased it without checking it out here on BA. On to the review...
MFD: 10/11

A - A crystal, nearly transparent, yellow with a white head. No lacing.

S - A bit of apple and some yeast that leads to a bit of skunky smell. Not doing anything for me.

T - Think strong apple juice fused with a light lager. Indian beer is far from what I expected and this is just not something I would elect to drink. Finishes abruptly with a but if dryness. No bueno.

M - Sweet malty but empty and incredibly light. Bleh!

O - I may have paid around 4 bucks for this brew but I prefer to avoid the calories rather than endure another glass of this. Just a complete failure of a brew.

On the label, this beer is said to be fit for kings, or pharoahs or soemthing like that. Not true. Save some money and buy yourself a Bud Light. Think about it. This beer hails from a region of the planet where the only crop to be farmed is rice. And the prime ingredient of Budweiser beers is what? Rice. It's thin, grainy, watery-piss-yellow, and just not worth it. Flavorless and boring. Subtle carbonation, feverishly waning head, and a completley poor foundation of brewing technique find this beer, in my book, as an afterthought of disgust. Try again fellas.
