On a recent trip to India pretty much the only beers available were one of the Kingfisher variants or sometimes Heineken or Carlsberg and a few times Hoegaarden. After a while when only Kingfisher was available I would switch to something other than beer. I would say Kingfisher and all it's variants are worse than the American domestics. In fact Budweiser was being presented as premium so what does that tell you?

poor? poor?! The only thing that is poor are the other reviewers judgement! This beer warmed my heart and cooled my stomach as the sun beat down on my steaming spine. If only I could rate 6!

I had a half pint of this on draft at an Indian restaurant in Hove, UK, in mid-June 2019. It's a standard to sub-standard pilsener, which is not a style I enjoy much. The best part of the drink was the pairing with a tasty Indian dinner that started kind of late in the evening.

Bright straw color with a faint mist of yeast. Foamy white 3 finger head, lasting around 5-10 minutes, with shy legs. Flavors of cabbage/skunk, minerals, sweet grains, lemon, corn, and floral hops. Slick and slightly oily full body with a moderate crisp. Light strength finish, cereal feel with balanced flowery hops. More skunky in the smell, highly mineral, doesn't feel too adjunct. Decent freshness, although a bit too oily. Drinkability is okay, mostly overly faint and uninteresting. Overall mediocre quality craft.

Obviously did not like this beer - maybe too many flavors of Kingfisher in a row.
