Notes: We start with an American light beer, lightly hopped, using only the finest hops. Cherry is then added to this beer and aged in our beer cellar, producing a delightful, refreshing taste and aroma.

On tap at a Davenport bar just minutes from the brewery.

This was a good drink, but not one that I will prefer. Was more hoppy than expected. The smell was wonderful, the cherry really comes through. Somewhat offsets the bitter from the hops, but not quite. Reminds me of why I personally prefer a porter.

Gold and yellow on the poor one finger head very light lacing I've heard some people describe it as though it was cough syrup but I wouldn't say so little bit of Wheat and of course cherry not too tart just a hint too sweet I like it.

Pours golden, sorta hazy, thin white head. Head dissipates steadily leaving some residual swirls of foam and some lacing.

Smell has notes of wheat, cherry cough medicine, some tart sweet cherry candy notes.

Taste follows the nose with notes of cherry cough syrup, cherry candy, bitter grass flavors, some white chocolate and vanilla notes as well. Bitterness builds as you drink the beer resulting in an astringent bitter flavor that is the only thing able to compete with the strong cherry.

Feel is pretty light and drinkable. If the flavor was better, this would be a nice summer drinking beer.

Overall the flavor is overly sweet - cherry cough syrup like - and the bitterness is rough. I wouldn't drink this one again.

The better half was down in Iowa last week for business, and, brought back a growler of this for us to try.
A pleasant surprise. I've tried raspberry, and, apricot beers prior to this, neither of them "did it" for me. This cherry ale, however, actually tastes like beer with a hint of cherry rather than the overly "perfumey" taste of the others.
The brew itself has a nice amber hue. Scent has a nice hint of cherry.
Taste is decent enough, I could see myself enjoying this brew on a porch in the summer.
Mouthfeel is decent, no harsh aftertaste.
Although it is rated as 5.2 abv, I would have guessed somewhere around 4.

A- Pours a pale golden with a quicky receding head. Below average head and some lacing.

S- Smell is nearly non existent.

T- Tastes reminds me of a light lager. Just a hint of cherry is detectable. I feel like if it were more pronounced that beer would benefit.

M- Average mouthfeel, good carbonation.

D- Easy enough drinkability...would be great on a hot summer night, like tonight. Would be a great alternative for a BMC drinker. Thanks Max!

From notes:

The beer is a yellowish color but very see through. There is some white head as well. The nose is full of cherry and wheat which is rather nice, it's very inviting. The flavor is mostly wheat with a hint of cherry nice but maybe add more cherry. Actually if it was a touch sour it would be a very good beer. Will be good in the summer but currently it's cold. This beer shows promise I hope they keep working with it and play a bit.

Poured a hazy gold amber color with red and brown hues when held to the light. Very limited lace and a small foam when sampled. Both did not last through the whole tasting.

The smell was very light. Not much of any beer smells but limited nose of maraschino cherries.

The taste is rather limited as well. Some pale malts is the more dominate taste. A limited cherry flavor is noticed at the end. ItÂ’s a little sweet. There is a zing from the hops at the end with bittering hops that give it a citrus and earthy taste. The hops really overpower the cherry flavor.

The body is light to med while the carbonation is low. Overall this beer could use more cherry taste (but not over kill) and less hops.

This beer is a cloudy pale yellowish-white color with no head. The aroma is of big juicy cherries. The taste is similar to the smell. Not too complex, but flavorful none the less. The mouthfeel is thin with nice carbonation. Overall, this is a light bodied, easily drinkable brew with a nice taste.
