A commemorative brew named after the great flood of '93. This is a bronze colored beer made with the highest quality malts and specially chosen hops to give this beer that extra hop bitterness with a delightful hop bouquet. A true "English Ale."

Pours orangeyellowamber all the colors of the dull sunglass spectrum. Good head.
Nice balance of malt and hop in the nose. Big ale yeast, pine and citrus hops, and pine and caramel malt. Nothing overriding the other.
Tastes like good, crisp orange hops up front, lighter dry hops and dry grain in the back. Nice, very good balance, but it's taken down a notch by a slightly soapy aftertaste.
A solid APA.

I tried this beer at the brewery whilst in the area on Biznet. It poured a clear copper with white head that left some lace. The scent had hints of yeast and bitter citrus. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.

must have been near the end of the keg or something, but this was marketed to me as a "true english ale". mine was cloudy and thick, smelling of american malts and quite a bit of bitter hops, to the degree that the nose and appearance of this beer dont offer me anything even close to any authentic english ale ive seen or consumed. still, not an ugly pour, with a washed out red glow, a ton of sediment, and a lastign white head about an inch tall. smell is more of an american than an english pale ale, a healthy hopping. flavor is really yeasty from all the sediment, which was a big detractor for me, but the pale malt and bitter hops go well together, and it would be a decent drink with a little filtration. good carbonation, but the body is too heavy from all the yeast and so its a little more filling than it ought to be for the style. to me, this was a bit of a good miss. one of those chip shots you skull 30 yards on the ground but it trickles right up onto the green leaving a makable par putt, say a 7 footer with no break. imagine that golf shot in a glass, and thats raging river ale.

Great beer with nice hoppy but balanced taste. The appearance is cloudy but adds to the overall smell and flavor. Has very nice carbonation with nice lacing showing the beer is well made and glass is clean. The wait staff is also very pleasant and knowledgeable about beer.
