Light golden and only a slight haze for this bottle conditioned brew. Low carbonation. Head settles very quickly and leaves no lacing. Not a very lively beer.

Has a faint but distinct smell of green apple. That sort of mix of sweet and tart. A bit of Belgian yeast character but not much and it's "tainted" by that green apple.

Hmmm. Just sort of dies on the tongue. Very flat in mouthfeel and taste. Some light malt but it's rather generic missing any wheat or yeast influence.

Disappointing. Have only had Hop Hog from Feral before and it was fantastic. Maybe these bottles didn't travel well but I would be happy to try their keg beer any time.

Not much above the average until the end (where there is lots of yeast and sediment.) Then this wit was soft, soft, soft... particularly surprising since the Aussie mouth likes bubbles.

This is a good style for the Aussies to work on because of the hot weather and because they are getting famous for their fusion gastronomy... at least in the two cities I've visited, Sydney and Melbourne. The wit complements lighter foods well... although probably less so to contrast with spicier dishes.

Golden and cloudy with a half finger of white head. Moderate carbonation.

Smells of coriander, phenols, peaches, and lemons.

Tastes of lemon tartness, phenols, coriander, and light fruity notes. Pears as well.

Light, crisp body, with moderate to low carbonation. Very dry and crisp.

Found this one in Perth, WA, where I am drinking it (Ingaloo) August 21st, 2017. Up to par and very typical for the style.

Sweet malty water biscuit aroma, a little floury. Yeasty nose. It’s a witbier alright. Flour, bread and crackers predominate Mouthfeel is a little soapy. Tastes like hoegaarden, kronenbourg blanc.

Poured from a 33cL bottle into a wine glass.

Beautiful golden-orange. Nigh opaque.

Coriander and wheat.

A soft watery flavor with nice, crisp edges. Hints of orange or lemon acidity. Spicy, Belgian yeast.

Overall rather plain but quite drinkable.

Format: standard 330mL brown bottle, typical Feral Brewing label. So, okay.

Appearance: poured into a schooner glass as my tulip glass just broke, either due to over-use or just out of spite. A cloudy, solid ginger-yellow in colour with a finger of off-white head that drops to a thick and solid cap.

Aroma: a pleasant aroma of orange citrus, coriander and yeasts. Pretty good.

Taste: less of the citrus here than the yeasts and coriander. I think I may have had it a tiny bit too warm, best just a few minutes out of the fridge.

Aftertaste: a touch of warming alcohol with spices and that mouth-filling yeast. Decent.

Mouth feel: a medium body with moderate carbonation.

Overall: a decent witbier, if not the best I have ever had. Quite drinkable at least. AU$59 for a case of 16.

330ml bottle. Pours a milky light gold colour with a disappointingly small head which disappeared quickly. Citrus orange, coriander and fruity aroma with some grain. The sweetness is nicely balanced by the zesty citrus. Light to medium body with a dry finish but leaves a nice fizz on the tongue. A pretty decent crack at a Belgian wheat beer and quite drinkable.

This is my first Feral brew, I'm not too sure about the name of the brewer though as it conjures up a Simpson's reference about a Red Tick Beer that Homer drank that had dogs swimming around in a vat of wort, only with Feral I'm thinking about cats in the wort instead... "Hmmm, needs more cat".

Poured from a 330ml bottle into a nonic pint.

A: Quite Witty with it's cloudy stil de grain yellow body and a white head that dissipates to a nice thin lacing.

S: Interesting aroma of papaya upfront, with some of the usual suspects; coriander, orange and wheat grains. I am liking that papaya with its bold tropical notes though.

T: If I had to explain the taste of this brew in one word it would be: Funky. The papaya, wheat and orange mingle in an odd fashion and there is a hint of candi sugar thrown in as well. It's a big mishmash of flavours all vying for attention - fruity papaya, grassy wheat, acidic orange and sweet sugar, but it doesn't overpower at any time. It kinda works in a weird way; it's funky.

M: Mouthfeel is a bit on the light watery side with a relatively flat carbonation, though it was only slightly chilled when I opened the bottle and warmer temperatures can effect the carbonation.

D: Overall it's in the least an interesting take on an interesting style. I would have preferred more cats to be used in the brewing process but hey you've got to take what you can get. It goes down easy, would be refreshing in summer, and has enough going on to keep my taste-buddies entertained, good drop!

Food match: Light summer fare like a chicken or Greek salad, hell Greek cuisine in general would pair well with this.

Smell: slight fruity (banana?) smell, once it warmed up i could get a whiff of wheat, but not too much odour

Appearance: nice cloudy pale yellow colour, not fully opaque but almost there. Head thinned out quickly to about 5mm, but hung around for a while afterwards.

Taste: initially sharp and a bit too sweet for a wheat beer, a slightly sour aftertaste

M: feels lighter than most wheat beers, moderate carbonation that lasts a while. Almost feels like slightly flat champagne, more refreshing than expected

Not a bad witbeer, not my first choice for this style as it is a little bit thin, but its worth a try, it may be better on tap as well.

A: Pours a hazy copper color with a fair head that fades to bits of lacing.

S: Aroma of citrus, banana and spice, with a bit of malt sweetness.

T: Taste of banana, malt sweetness, some spice and bit of grain. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish.

F: Fairly moderate body, smooth with a decent balance.

O: Nice beer for the style.
