On tap at the brewpub in Auust 2008.

Pours a nice rusty reddish color with an off white head that leaves behind a tad bit of lacing. Nose is somewhat muting wihout mug coming through other than some doughy malt. Taste is a bit better with some bread along with caramel and a nice nuttiness, although that is not terribly apparent. Overall, somewhat plain. Medium body and decent carbonation levels. Drinkability is okay. Not my favorite beer of theirs.

Pours a clear, amber color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and good lacing. Smells of nuts, earthy malt, slight yeast, and slight sweet malt. Fits the style of an Irish Red Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of earthiness (nuts, vanilla, honey), slight sweet malt, slight hop, and slight yeast. Overall, a good dryness, decent blend, and good mouth feel.

Pours a dark amber color, pretty cloudy, with some ruby hues. There was a half inch light tan head upon presentation. Good retention and some lacing.

Aroma is pretty nice. A splash of citrus showing off a little hop, and followed up by a big malt dominance. Sweet caramel leads here.

Taste is quite nice. Malt dominant with caramel taking the lead. A bit of cereal and some hay like features. Just a slight bitterness from the hops.

Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and lightly carbonated.

Drinkability is fairly high. Good flavor and presumeably low alcohol make for an easy to enjoy session.

Poured into a ten ounce glass at the brew-pub.

Pours a dark red with a small white head. Very dull color, not clear either.

Smell is nothing. Perhaps some christmassy red malt smell if you practically snort it.

Tastes the same. Very bland. Just malt with a slight hoppyness to give it balance.

What a boring beer.

A: Pours with an off-white/tan color head and a gorgeous ruby red body. Mild opacity lets a little light through, but fairly dark.

S: Lots of malt coming through with minimal hoppiness. Smells a bit like a fresh loaf of bread and caramel.

T: Very nice flavor. Pretty standard irish red, but it is done well. Malty, bready (yeast), with a nice sweetness in the finish that lingers.

M: Very smooth and creamy. Minimal carbonation with a medium body.

D: Not the most sessionable beer they have on tap, but still very drinkable.
