Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear light golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is almost all grain. The taste is is a nice sweet grain flavor. A very enjoyable beer.

Extremely uninviting yellow mixed with lots of water resulting in no head developing. Looks like broth with better clarity. Aroma was boiled corn.

Taste just had a lot of water diluting everything. You don't get the notion of hops, yeast or malt with this one. Some adjunct malt stuff. Why is this more than $1 a bottle? Seriously, American AAL's from BMC smoke this beer.

A gift from a friend who been to El Salvador. 330ml bottle, 4.4 Abv. Pours a yellow colour with very small white head. Aromas of corn & grain. Tastes of corn, grain, hint of apple and not much else. Mild carbonation. Aftertaste is a very light bitterness. Overall I'm not surprised as my friend had warned me that it's drunk very cold in country & not to expect to much.

I have had this El Salvadoran Beer on two different occasions, once in the United States (a six pack) and a plethora of times in El Salvador. It pours clear yellow, no carbonation sparkle, and has a light to medium head, which is thin in texture (no frothy). Being a pale lager, it has a malty taste and hints of sweetness, it does not leave the mouth dry. It has very little aroma and leaves a sharp after taste. It is to drink and its 4.6% alcohol content makes it easy to consume, though it is somewhat filling.

You are able to procure this in McAllen, Texas at Feldman's market.

Received in trade from RobertDale, thanks for the opportunity!
Pours a crystal clear medium golden color with a decent sized bone white head that persists for a bit. Aromas of bread, straw and a hint of floral spice. The flavor is lightly sweet bready maltiness with just enough spice and green apple to keep it from being cloying. Medium to light body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a slick almost watery mouthfeel. Serviceable pale lager that didn't suck as bad as I thought it would. I could drink this if I had to.

Poured from bottle into a tall pilsner glass.
Review from notes: 11/3/2013.

A: Bright gold, very little carbonation, small head that quickly disappears.

S: Smells sweet, like apple juice.

T: Tasty and simple, but nothing special. Definitely a pils.

M: Good. Very drinkable and definitely a warm weather (lawnmower) beer.

O: Nice. I'd have it again, but I doubt I'd seek it out.

Bottle and draft: Poured a golden color lager with a medium size white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light adjunct notes with light sweet notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by light adjunct notes with light sweet notes. Body is light with medium carbonation. Not as gross as expected but nothing to write home about either.

Pilsener has a thick, white head, a very clear, bubbly (etched glass), straw appearance, with minimal lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet grain and a touch of sourness. Taste is of sugary sweetness, grain, a kiss of hops, and clean water. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Pilsener finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and tasty. Overall, this is another good one, and I rate it excellent.

From notes during a recent El Salvador vacation.

A.) Appears to be beer in a brown bottle (IMHO proper glassware for this style of beer). What I do see resembles typical macro brew - light straw, very clear, bone white foam and active carbonation.

S.) Light whiff of Cooked veggies, mostly corn, a bit of grain, not much else.

T.) Spot on for the style, and good for cooling off. Very light on the tongue. Light corn, a bit of boiled veggies (less than the smell), and a bit more grain than the smell let on.

M.) Mineral water - sharp carbonation and light flavor let this brew be a great heat reliever in the tropical paradise we stayed in.

O.) For the set and setting we were in (a Surf Resort in El Salvador), this was a great beer. Yes, it's VERY light. Yes, it's best taken straight from the bottle COLD; and YES - after surfing or fishing all morning long, this beer was perfect beverage for talking story on the beach, making ceviche, hammock time, lunch time, etc. - the low gravity make this a good all day tropical session beer, and at $.50 each a good bargain over a couple of other international brands in the cooler that were skunked.
Also - it's much safer than the water!

Looks like water with some thin see through straw yellow to it, no head. Aroma was corn on the cob boiled.

Taste, not much in there. Really, kind of like mineral water as if from Calistoga. No hops, more corn, no malt roasting, just water. This stuff must be like .03 a barrel to make as long as corn prices don't spike. The fact they charge $7 a 6 pack is a rip off.

I've had some shitty generic sodas better than this crap.

Having this now from a can and earlier today at the La Constancia Brewery (nice tour btw and even nicer tour guide!). Poured with a nice, large, foamy, frothy, fluffy, white head that lasts a while and good lacing. Color is a pale, clear yellow with lots of small bubble trails. Aroma is bitter, beery, slightly malty. Flavor is like aroma plus has a sugary sweetness that stands out muting the other qualities. Body is thin and carbonation overdone. Finish is like flavor and short. I like the Regia better, but it's a little harder to find for me so far in my visit here. Thanks Rafael for taking us on the Brewery tour!

Single bottle consumed ice cold at San Salvador's airport, on to the beer:

This beer pours a light goldde color with almost no head. Only a little bit of white foam hugs the glass, but it leaves no lace. The nose; a little bit of corn and not a whole lot else. Things get better though; the taste is passable. The boiled corn flavor may be more mild than it really is because of the ice cold temperature the beer was consumed at. Sweet tasting, but has a little appeal. Whispers of that corn continue on into the aftertaste. It's a crisp, light bodied beer, and somewhat enjoyable.

If you were trapped inside an unexciting airport for 5½ hours, you too would start drinking to kill time. It's a little bit better than the other beers I've already tried from this brewery, but that's not saying much. It did wash down a sandwich pretty well though.

A) nothing special. Could be a number of cheap, transparent lagers. There is no head retention or thickness

B) Malts are sweet with a hint of roasty smoke. Hops are almost perfumy (very slightly). There's "something" there I can't put my finger on, but it almost smells like it shouldn't be there.

T) very light, has that "something" with a tinge of sweet/roast to it. For a beer of its texture, it has a very unusual late taste.

Mouthfeel) very thin, little to it and little to distinguish it

D) very easy, nothing to them

Not as good as the Pilsener 100 counterpart, and not great for the 6 pack price I paid for it ($8.99 in DC)

Poured from a bottle at a Salvadoran restaurant. Surprisingly okay, and definitely more drinkable than the standard Mexican or American macro schlock. Pours golden with quite a decent head. The smell has a slight smell of corn, but it is clean. The taste is crisp, clean, and slightly hoppy with some nice crisp bitterness. Crisp, refreshing, and quite drinkable for what it is.

Extremely light yellow, looks very thin color-wise; easy to pour two-finger white head; head settles quickly, leaving some lacing

A little skunky and salty

Taste & Mouthfeel
Some initial bitterness, but it breaks off mid-way, leaving nothing to taste afterwards; just a hint of some sweet graininess at front, but again nothing much to discover mid-way on; thin body

It's an extremely forgettable beer to be found in Central America. However, it's crisp, clean, and cheap enough to enjoy a few on the beach and in the heat in El Salvador.

Pours extremely pale, almost clear. Slight head disappears almost immediately.

Aroma is musty, with an underlying sweetness that seems off.

Taste grainy, pale malt with a hint of lemon grass. Finish has a surprising bit of peppery zing.

Mouthfeel is quite light.

Overall, this is a pretty bland beer. Probably tasty if you are stuck in the El Salvador jungle heat. Otherwise it is drinkable but uninspiring.

Poured a medium straw hue with a finger and a half foamy white head. There was good retention and good sticky lacing.

The smel featured a light grainy malt with some cooked corn.

The taste featured a light grain hiding a subtle sweet corn. Some hop spicing and a good doughy finish. A metallic element as well.

The mouthfeel was light and a bit slick.

Overall a decent lager and one of the better from Latin America.

Pours a golden straw color with a little bit of white fluffy head that fades away pretty quickly and doesn't lace the glass. There's also some big bubbles in there too, bigger than I'm used to seeing. Smells of yeast and a tiny bit of hops, with an overtone of metal, but that's pretty much normal for beer from a can. Taste is sweet and a little citrusy, with some coppery bitterness on the back end. Mouthfeel is very heavy with some harsh carbonation at the front. All in all, it's a very drinkable beer. Nothing overtly bad about it, nothing incredibly great about it either. Definitely one of the better latin american beers I've had.

Pours light straw yellow with a fizzy white head that doesn't stick around too long. The white ring does leave some traces of lacing.

The smell is of some light hops with an adunct/corn-like aroma.

The taste is of a hint of hops, not unlike those found in some American macros, that is soon taken over by sweet malt and vegetable oil-like adjuncts. There is almost a malt/hop presence, but is mixed in with an oily adjunct-like taste. It's weak, but compared to most American macros or most other Latin American beers, it does have some flavor to it that is not all that bad.

It has something of a body to it, albeit too slick and oily. It has something of a watery thinness to it, but not overly so.

This is not a bad choice for a quick thirst-quencher. It's mild enough to drink it with no problem. It's not something I personally would choose, but it's better than most American macros I've had, and not terrible in itself. If you are looking for a true German Pilsener, look elsewhere, but for a quick thirst-quencher with some decent beer qualities it's not all that bad.

this is my favorite Salvadorian beer, is refreshing, strong in taste and flavor. . .. there's minimun head, lots of bubbles, but is good.
Good small bitter smell.
Two tumbs up for the golden corn yellow apearance.
smell is somewhat sweet
probably the best beer in that region

Part of a "Beers of the World" sampler received for my birthday a few months back.

Pours the palest of pale, pale straw "yellow" with a few fingers of snow white foam on top. Fizzy seltzer water comes to mind. What nose you can find has a hint of lemon, adjunct and mustiness. Tastes like your typical light lager, though much cleaner. Musty, husky adjunct malt, a lemony/peppery "hop" note and that's about it. Again, very light and fizzy in the mouthfeel. Drinkable by the boatload, very light and refreshing, though at the cost of appearance smell and taste. I'm sure it would go over well in the hot El Salvadorian sun, but this is one fizzy bland beer.

12 oz bottle with no freshness date. Served in a pilsner glass.
Pours clear golden yellow with a macro white head.
Smells like canned corn and wet straw.
acidic flavor, a little lemony, slight bitter finish. Not a bad macro. I could see myself ordering this in a Nu-Mex style resturaunt if it was available.

This has to go down as one of the lamest beers on the pour I can remember. Fizzy and unimpressive it quickly fades and is never to be seen again. Lots of carbonation fills this clear lemon yellow brew.

Tasted like a mix between corn/grain and a barely detectable hop presence in the middle. Finishes with more corn.

Light on the palate. Carbonation is needed and welcomed to make it tolerable. You could easily ram or drink 20 of these without a disturbance to your daily routine. Not reccomended.

Pours a clear yellow almost golden beer with a respectable white head.

Smell is light malts and grain with a decent herbal hoppiness. Not real complex but not off smelling either.

Taste is some malt and some grain flavor and a faint hint of lemony acid. Hops mostly go missing but there is some herbal bitterness to this. Not real complex but it is better than a Budweiser.

Very light mouthfeel probably meant to be that way.

Quite drinkable if you accept it for what it is. Light flavored brew that probably is just the thing to refresh you after the El Salvadorian heat cooks you for a while. Not a bad lawnmower type beer that really is more of a good light beer.

Well, the tatse of this beer is good, but for the third one you start feeling like some yeasty things stick to your tongue, and then the acid begins to call from your stomach. But, I like the labe, an As of hearts, and the slogan is "Solo para Cheros", which in El Salvadorian slang means "Just for friends", good time, anyway. Just avoid getting too much of this.
