Appearance: gold yellow color. White head with acceptable size that may not last long (little lace). Very clear.
Aroma: slightly malty with corn notes.
Taste: sweet malt and adjuncty.
Mouthfeel: drying sensation. Moderate carbonation, low-strength and light body.
Finish: bitter (weak) and short aftertaste.

Overall: fresh adjunct lager. The flavor is not unpleasant for a hot day as it can be refreshing. On the other hand nothing special. Common and characterless macro lager. Not my kind of beer.

Pours amber with a small, white, fading head and lacing.
Nose shows hay, faint, plain cereal malt and very soft, spicy hops.
Similar flavours; hay and light sweet vegetal notes. Very little else.
Carbonation is much too high, body is very watery..

Can acquired in Ibiza, Spain and served into a Guinness pint glass. 5.50% ABV confirmed. Reviewed from notes taken April 2011.

A: Surprising cream in the head for the low price. Decent thickness in the four finger head. Good retention. Body colour is a textbook yellow. Looks like a typical pedestrian macrolager barley shite beer.

Sm: Very light scene of generic clean barley. Very one note.

T: One note: clean barley. No watery quality, thankfully. Simple crap. Built poorly and imbalanced.

Mf: Coarse and wet. Doesn't suit the style. Unrefreshing.

Dr: Hides its ABV fairly well. A garbage beer for getting knackered. Take it for what it is. To its credit, it's priced right where it ought to be.

Pint at Revolución de Cuba, Glasgow (£4.60):
Quite a disappointing beer overall, it was basic & fairly bland from the start but at the same time it was pretty similar to a lot of macro pale lagers out there. There was light citrus & biscuit flavours at times but for the most part the beer was all hay, grassy touches & basic adjuncts with a hint of skunk to round things off; it's a bad day when a beer makes Estrella look good.

I ordered cerveza for one euro with my room service in madrid and this is what came. Poured slightly cold from a can into a 4oz glass.

Overall impression is that it was not terrible but it was pretty forgettable. More hop bitterness than most beers i've had in this style but no hop aroma or flavor to speak of. Slightly skunky flavor, slightly above average body and below average drinkability. I'll probably have wine instead if given the option.

12 oz bottle. Pours pale straw with short lived, white, thin head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of hay and sweet malt. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is of some grassy hops and malt. Some bitter aftertaste. I have a feeling I just drank a pale lager.

Talk about mediocrity. this was the only drink served on the "Estrella" night train between Barcelona and Madrid. My mate and I, open to tasting something new, started off with one of these in a fairly elaborate tasting.

Fact: this is rubbish. I don't mean just like macro rubbish, this just tastes bad. 5 stars my arse. granted, we pounded down a dozen each, but it was an effort to fall asleep on a smelly night train. even so, this is rubbish beer. next.
