Trade with BenBreeg. In Teku glass. Reading CSHTP6 Ch20 + playing Tomb Raider 2015. Foamy but doesnt affect feeling. Dry, with some sweetness and a remarkable herbal hoppyness. Improves as it warms up.

From 10/02/11 notes. Thanks to Thorpe429 for sharing this one from his recent trip to Belgium. Poured from a 750ml bottle into my Bell's tulip.

a - Pours a hazy dark yellow orange color with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation evident. Looks like a good, standard tripel.

s - Smells of Belgian yeast, bananas, cloves, alcohol, and spices. Alcohol is a bit prominent, knocking the nsoe down a bit.

t - Tastes of Belgian yeast, spices, bananas, cloves, and bready malts. 180 turn from the nose in terms of alcohol, as I don't get any. Really great taste.

m - Medium body and moderate carbonation evident. Super smooth and creamy and very easy to drink for 9.5% ABV.

o - Overall a really great tripel; a little less alcohol in the nose and this could have been even better. It's very easy to drink and the taste is balanced with spice, bananas, and yeast. One of the better tripel's I've had, would love to have it again.

Look: the beer pours a hazy golden-yellow color with a medium white head
Smell: Yeast, grains, citrus, fruits and coriander
Taste: Bit sweet malts, citrus, coriander, yeast, caramel, and lots of fruits. Light hoppy crisp aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: high-medium carbonation and medium bodied.
Overall: A very balanced brew. Not too sweet, maybe lacks a bit the complexity

Bottle from the abbey during our recent trip to Belgium. Served in a Trappist Achel glass.

ours a clear golden-yellow with a nice white head. Light lacing and a thin collar throughout. The nose brings some clove and fairly-strong alcohol. Surprisingly (and happily) the flavor doesn't have any alcohol at all. Good clove character and light bubblegum. A bit of sweetness and mild fruit. Body is medium with good carbonation and a strong yeast presence. Good clove and spice. Overall, quite tasty and a very nice tripel.
