A mix of citrus and pine that will remind you of the time you went on a vision quest with your Native American cousin and you woke up in a pine grove full of grapefruit trees.

An American-style India Pale Ale with a deep golden-orange color. Bitter and hoppy, with a surprisingly smooth finish.

Poured into a Funky Buddha Brewery snifter. Bottom of can says Best By FEB14.

A- Pours a dark amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick bubbly ring around the edge of the glass and random bubbly splotches of surface foam. Non-resilient lacing leaves clots behind on the glass.

S- Earthy, herbal hop aroma that's pungent and dank. Plenty of cereal grain malt sweetness to accompany the hops making for an enticing combo.

T- Aggressively bitter hop flavor with notes of pine and grapefruit. The malt does a great job of providing just enough breadiness and sweetness to offset the intense bitterness and complement the citrus notes from the hops.

M- Sharp from the hops but the bite doesn't linger too long which is impressive considering how bitter it is in the front. Also quite oily and resiny with medium
carbonation and a body leaning toward the fuller side.

O- A hop bomb done the right way. The contrasting balance keeps me coming back for more sips.

Chill haze dark bronze, with lumpy, stiff french vanilla-white meringue head that leaves chunky speckled sheets.
Stupendous floral, orange, caramel, skunk, lemon Italian ice, fresh hop nose.
Soft toffee up front with big lemon sorbet, spruce, and sugared grapefruit hops.
Pink grapefruit juice finish and pithy linger.
Lt-med, round, slight cling, creamy.

Malt sweetness evidences as straight sugar, which pulls off the trick of the malts being minimal yet balancing. And then comes lots of bright, juicy pale citrus - lemon and grapefruit. 70+ IBUs are nowhere to be found. So sessionable, even good for rookies.

Stands right up there with Racer 5 as the epitome of C hop goodness.

Repeated tastings find a big whack of resiny dank to finish off each sip. Cuts through palate fatigue against some fairly hoppy yet lesser IPAs. Rapidly become a stand-by.

This is my go-to IPA when I need to grab something for a gathering. Since it comes in a can, it's incredibly convenient.

That aside, the product in the can is delightful. Bitter, resin, hoppy goodness. This is a nice baseline IPA. Only qualm is that it may be a bit on the thin side, but these things go down nice all day long.
