The initial pour is super enticing. Rich deep amber, crisp and clear with a big frothy head that dissipates leaving minimal reminders of its time on earth.

A bubblegum maltiness underpins the piney and grapefruit hops. I love this aroma combination. almost a cedar character to it that endears it immediately to this PNWers heart.

The taste sees less of the malt than the nose, as the hops take front stage. A combination of citrus and evergreen bursts forth, but even without any readily prominent malt flavour it still feels whole and balanced. The citus is somewhat pithy with some ruby grapefruit, and the evergreen is mainly pine sap, but there's that nagging cedar presence that reminds me of my childhood home and really pushes this to a higher plane for me.

resinous and oily, the little carbonation stabs with the spices to provoke complete gibberish from this reviewer. The fact that this is a production shelf beer that is readily available in my area makes me very ha(o)ppy.
Buy it. Drink it. Skank along with it in your hand. Just enjoy it!!

12 fl oz. can, with best by date of October 08, 2013 printed on the bottom lip of the can. I haven't had this stuff in quite some time, but I remember liking it a lot last time I drank it. My third beer from Ska Brewing Co.

Poured into a Firestone Walker pint glass.

A - Gentle pour yields one finger of doughy fluffy off-white / tan colored head on top of a nice coppery dark orange colored body. Lots of sediment maneuvering around the glass, and some bubbles lazily floating to the top. Thin cavernous lacing streaking down the glass.

S - Smell is initially of bitter piney hops and citric grapefruit, but mellows out quickly. Not a very powerful aroma, but decent.

T - Taste follows the nose: bitter grapefruit & pine hops, sugary tea leaf sweetness, malts, & some alcohol heat on the finish.

M - Feel is dry and bitter, with some intense hop resins coating the palate. Bit of heat on the finish, again.

Overall, this is probably the best beer I've tried from Ska Brewing Co. as of yet, and it stands as a pretty decent IPA. Not a groundbreaking beer by any means, but highly palatable and insanely drinkable, and reasonably priced. A winner for sure.
