Drunk on April 25, 2021, after aging for years in homecellar, at a fixed temperature.
On the nose immediately caramel note, of panettone.
Not abundant brown foam, however it remains on the surface.
In the mouth the beer is quite flat (light carbonation).
Medium body (slightly too smooth).
The drink is hot: caramel, candied sugar, candied fruit (raisins), sour cherries, plums, a final liqueur note that closely reminds me of a Passito di Pantelleria wine.
New scents emerge with every sip and at every slightest dilution of the temperature (molasses, reflections of maple syrup, almonds ..)
Quite dry finish on the tongue, while sweet, liqueur and candied fruit scents echo on the palate.

Thanks to Arlo from Ska for the hook up! Bottle into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass. Clear copper color, thin tan head with great lace.

Smells of rum raisins, dark fruit, banana, and alcohol

taste is sweet, caramel, toffee, dark fruit, alcohol, burnt sugar, huge banana, and a touch of maple syrup and just enough bitter hop to balance everything out.

mouth feel is crispy and smooth. medium body with a slightly dry finish.

I wish this was regularly available. Great beer.

Poured in a Ciney snifter, which is a nice way to get the full aroma of dark caramel with more than a whiff of alcohol. Lots of lacing, an attractive foam on the dark amber brew. A thick but pleasing mouthfeel.

Winey and strong tasting with a hint of candy. More deep roasted flavors than you would expect in a Weizenbock. The malt is really rich, and the sweetness is just right for the strength. A bitter twang towards the end, with some sweet vermouth flavors, and a touch of vanilla. Fairly tangy for a good balance with the malt. A dark flavor gives it an interesting undertone.

One of the best Weizenbocks I've had, and it's one of my favorite styles, when it's good. From the 22 oz bottle bought at Mayfair Liquor in Denver.

currently loving this one. it pours an almost ruby hue of red, glowing burnt sugar brownish in the light, with a one inch off white head without much retention. the beer smells incredible. banana and vanilla from the yeast, sweet toffee breakfast bread malt, and a slight bitterness. the flavor is definitely malt heavy, but its a dark wheat beer in flavor, which is a rare treat here in colorado. its certainly sweet, but not at all offputting. there is a fruity flavor that comes in at the end before the alcohol too, maybe dried apples or something similar. mouthfeel is luscious. bold but gentle carbonation, rolling over the tongue, creamy, thick, and expanding. the sweetness doesnt last long, while a potent alcohol vibe comes up. im guessing this is near 8% abv, but who knows for sure. overall an unsuspected treat, perfect for fall!

Deep purple color with what looks to be nice clarity. Head stands solid and straw colored foam. Lacing is sparse, but still is nice toward the bottom of brew. Medium viscocity.

Tons of clove-y cinnamon with touches of chocolate and wheat.

Great flavor, light bitterness, no heat, and perfect light carbonation. Chocolatey, dark, deep, slightly roasty, cloves, cinnamon, wheaty, slightly banana..

Awesome brew. For thinking I didn't like the style, I love this brew. I will be ISO of more.. Highly recommended.
