Cheers: Overlooking the falls. Diving off of patio may be permitted as there isn't a sign that disallows it. OK selection, a couple of micros, 4 or so Custom Brewcrafters on. Bartender gave us directions to Festival of Ales. Place to go get your swerve on following the festival. Magic Hat pint glasses.

Jeers: Bar patrons stared at us as we weren't "from around these parts." Palpable danger in the air. Limited bar seating. Bathroom is hidden which led to an extended uncomfortable period of clenching. Attached outdoor patio appears dangerous, I don't think that it was inspected in any way/shape/form, some sort of structural supports need to be added. The patrons eating looked like the Super Wal Mart variety. We were basically asked to leave by a dude wearing a salmon colored shirt, tight levi's, and a black bandana tied round his skull. Pretty sure that he is the type to be driving a truck with a homemade bed (if you don't know, please ask).

The Brewery seems to have undergone some dramatic improvements since the other reviewers visited 10+ years ago. We have been having lunch here for years, and it is definetly one of our Saturday staples. Casual, comfortable, with grounding in the local charm.

One enters through the small comfortable bar area. The main dining area is casual, open, and has views of the main intersection in town. A small "gazebo" like room seats four 4-tops, with a fireplace and views of the falls and gorge below. The multi-level deck is great, lots of negative ions.

The food is consistently good, with people raving about the Friday fish fry. The burgers are big and juicy, with great buns, fresh toppings, and variety.

The wait staff are all friendly and enthusiastic. Food comes out quickly. The beer selection is about ten taps, with a range from macro to craft. They always have a few interesting beers I would choose from, some being exciting. They always have a few local.

Just to emphasize, the wait staff is fantastic. They always great us warmly, share recent events, and explain the specials.

Check out their updated website and get a good sense of what The Brewery is all about. You will be happily impressed. http://www.brewerypubandgrill.com

So I have been here a few times and every time I go I hope to get a different feel....but that doesn’t happen. I gave the place a few chances to redeem itself but eff em here is the review.
The only reason I headed to the brewery is because I heard they had some custom Brewcrafters brews on tap.
This is possibly the smallest bar I have encountered at a public establishment and only a few round tables to sit. There was a dining area which happened to be used for karaoke that night….very painful. Many townies hanging around also got some stares because we were under the age of 40 and not locals. At one point the bartender screamed “does she have ID” to someone in our group after about a half hour of sitting there. She was drinking coke. The bartender’s lack of knowledge on the 3 or 4 craft brews she had on tap was also impressive. Ted Nugent’s cousin or look alike happened to be the cook of the evening even though he lurked around out front most of the evening he was friendlier than the bartender whose main concern seemed to be hanging out on the deck and smoking Newport’s. The food was decent. The last time I was in the town I stopped by and had seen the craft brew selection had lowered to two choices. Same faces less beers to chose from and that was it for me.

Overlooking the beautiful Honeoye Falls in the town named after them, the Brewery is a little more classy than the other bar in town. The selection is pretty good with its share of micros on tap including a rotating line up of CB beers. It's got a nice clean atmosphere. Obviously well taken care of. A little small, but that's okay. The service seems to be a little slow. But it is a nice little pub in a nice little town. A great place to stop after a tour at Custom BrewCrafters. Sit on the deck overlooking the falls in the summer. Worth a visit.
