Aug. 2014: Shared 50 cl green bottle at local tasting, 4.5% ABV. Pale golden colour, low white head. Strong aroma of grass, candy and butterscotch, but not unpleasant. Bland flavour, not much of anything, a little grassy hops in the finish. Forgettable.

Flat head. Completely flat.
It starts off with a harsh citrus taste but eventually leaves you with a woody mouthful. As someone else said, it's probably better to drink it in Armenia with a meal because these flavors aren't American or Western European.

how fresh can beer from armenia really arrive here to colorado? my inclination is not all that fast, so freshness has to be an issue with my bottle, but its still a worthy purchase, as i know nothing at all about armenian beer. as claystation said, i could see having a really good time drinking this if we were in fact in armenia, but we are not, and its not the best selection for a lager when faced with that decision here in denver. that said, its probably a lot better fresh, and still exhibits some desirable qualities. there may or may not be some wheat in the grain bill, which puts forth a cerealy slightly richer complexion, and the flavor of the yeast is different than what we are used to an american macro lager, so i appreciate it for being a little more old worldy in that respect. carbonation is poor, and it feels too heavy for the style as a result, and there is some skunky flavors in the finish which dont flatter it. still, i will be back to stockade liquors, because they had an amazingly large and esoteric collection of eastern european rarities (in this market) that i only scratched the surface of today.

Gold pour with thick white head. Good lacing. Lite spice nose. Skunky, odd spicy flavor. Lite mouthfeel. Off putting flavor.

Not an American Adjunct but a European Pale Lager - similar to Heineken. Overall a decent drinkable beer.
Update: thanks to BA for changing the style to Euro Pale Lager.

Light amberish brown in the wine glass. Head foams up and then dissipates. Likewise the carbonation in the mouth. By a second pour it's flat. Woody smell is rather pleasant.
Tastes like Long Island Iced Tea. Rather sweet with a woody, cedary malt flavor. Hops are not much to brag about. This might be an OK swill but I wouldn't have it with food-- take a few bites and your beer is flat. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Bottleworks in Seattle.
