A- Nice dark amber color with a 1 inch head that stuck around for several minutes then left a nice lacing behind. Appearance was pretty nice.

S- Ester and citrus hop smell. Light nutty, sweet malt in the background; not overpowering by any means

T- Very refreshing taste, however possibly a tough sour. Medium carbonation with a pretty good blast of floral and citrus hop kick that pinches the tongue and lingers nicely

M- Medium body, slightly creamy, decent carbonation

D- Decent Amber, smooth and refreshing. Nothing to exciting.

Overall, so so. Not a bad beer by any means but not really in line with what I typically drink. Unless I'm stuck with no options- most likely won't drink that one again.

made specially for Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse in federal way, washington, by hales ales.

pours a light chestnut brown with little to no head, and a little lacing.

smell is faint, maybe a touch of caramel.

taste is very watery, hops, some nuts, some caramel, and a touch of pine, ends bitter.

overall not much substance, and not much aroma, just not much all together.

This is the house beer for Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse, a cowboy steak joint. Served in a huge mug on draft. Pale chesnut, off-white head with a large bubbled collar that leaves heavy lace. It also goes by Jackalope Amber.

Smell is a big blast of caramel malt but not overly sweet, with light herbal hops.

Taste is much hoppier, very nice, caramel, super tasty, clean, just a really tasty amber.

Moutheel is pretty smooth with a snappy finish and light body.

Drinkability is high, I really enjoyed this beer, the heavy dose of noble hops really went well with the clean caramels, it went down with ease and I wish I had time for another. Cheer's to Hale's, and Jimmy Mac's for commissioning this so I wasn't stuck with some bland lager. This beer really surprised me, one of the best Hale's Ale's I've had to boot. They didn't know the strength but if I had to guess I'd say around 5.3 ABV?
