I picked up a bunch of Fire Stone Walker and Great Divide Yeti and Oatmeal Yeti. Then I went into the bar up front and had an Allagash Victoria on draft for $4. Then I was compelled to get a sandwich because of the delicious smells coming from the deli. Reads like a nice afternoon, doesn't it? Friendly, helpful, local staff. The selection may not be the largest, but it is good. And they have all the local Maryland beers there in one spot. Not every place on Coastal Hwy does.

oops forgot about this one. When we looked around the area this was the only place that sold craft beer for miles.Very shocking for such a hot tourist spot.

Anyway the register is to your immediate right and the deli is straight back. The wine area is to the left of the deli and the good stuff is just to the right of the deli. As I got back there I was impressed with the amount of stuff they had in such a small area but only really one row. Then the back of that row was covered with Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada. Nice selection local microbrews. Evolution,Dogfish,Flying Dog nothing to hard to find. So I bought a 120 min for my new glassware I bought at Dogfish Head and a six pack of Evolution ESB to support the locals.

Service was decent nothing spectacular but nothing bad either, just not very helpful.

A good place to come to if your on vacation, then again it is the only place to go to if you need craft beer. Damn if I had the money I would certainly open up a nice bar right around the beach for people who want to try something different then Miller Lite and Bud.

You'll find a great selection of all the staples they have always had Dogfish, Rogue, imports, etc., but now they also have a great variety of Weyerbacher including heresy, blithering idiot, double simcoe, quad and they still have some riserva. They also have Oskar Blues Dale's, Gordon, and Gubna, Lagunitas IPA, Maximus, Hop Stoopid, and WTF. Even had Peak Organic Espresso Amber. If you like coffee beers this one is a must. You won't believe that it's around 7% abv. Check Anthony's out they've always had a good selection for OC, but now they have a pretty impressive selection. The subs are great, too.

I was worried about going to Ocean City and only finding Bud/Miller/Coors, but I was told about this place and decided to check it out. A nice little place located right on the main road. Can't miss it, big yellow letters saying Anthony's. As I walked in, looked like a deli / conveinence store to the front and left, to the right I saw beer coolers. Many six packs to choose from and one cooler full of odds and ends to buy one of. Two small rows of warm beer and the bigger 22oz and higher end imports. The gut behind the counter was really nice to let me take of a six pack cause I only wanted one. Thank God for this place in Ocean City.

Crowded beer/deli store on 33rd street in OC. Even if the place is dead the store is very tightly packed. The isle for micros and imports is clear in the back right hand corner of the store. Good selection of DFH and Rogue brews. Also carries multiple offerings from other micros such as Avery, Weyerbacher, and Victory. Limited offerings from other micros. Lots of imports affiliated with InBev. Overall there is a decent selection and reasonable pricing. I did not look at the wine selection. Most bottles and 6-ers have a price tag ranging from 4.99-13.99. The cashier has a price list at the front desk for unmarked bottles and 6-ers. The employees don't seem to know much about the selection that they hold either. Some individual bottles are sold but mostly cases and 6-ers. If you are vacationing in OC this is the place to hit up if you don't want to drink BMC or Yuengling.

Not a good selection compared to what i find around home (chapel hill, nc), but arguably the best in ocean city. Looks to not keep a huge stock onhand (at least non BMC) so it's presumable that it all turns over fairly quickly and is fresh. I wasn't offered any personal assistance, but certainly needed, necessarily wanted or expected any. Has a smattering of american micros (rogue, troegs, dfh) and a few odd brit imports. Very busy, very crowded small store. There's a deli making sandwhiches, though I didnt get one. Halfway decent wine selection too, if a bit pricy.

If you are a BA heading to Ocean City, your best bet is to stop at Chesapeake on the way down. It is right on Rte 50 and it is a nice pit stop half way.

If, however, you've been unfortunate enough not to pack, drank all your brew, and/or are too lazy to drive a half an hour up to Rehoboth, then you must stop at Anthony's.

You can't miss the place, smack dab at 33rd street where things really get rockin. Back in the day, after working long and hard at JR's ribs, we'd stop in Anthony's for kegs of Beast. With some new MD laws and the psycho personality of most newer cops in the area, I'm not overly sure if that would still be a good idea for a 17 year old, but I digress...

For those with nothing to lose, you will find SNPA, some Sam Adams, and perhaps some fresher DFH, if you're lucky. From the beer wasteland of OC, this may be your better bet. Just remember to pack well, and then you don't have to worry.
