Part of our shipment from Liquid Gratitude. Beer poured very foamy and was cloudy. A very slight hop aroma with some malt. Flavor was initially malty followed by some hop citrus flavors. Finished bitter. Low carbonation, flat mouthfeel. An OK beer, however I probably wouldn't buy it again.

DRk red appearance with dark white head and a significant amount of carbination. Fruity aroma. Taste is a mild fruity taste that is very smooth with no bitterness.

Appearance: Pours a clear copper capped by a nice ecru head that forms from a bubble show; good retention that leaves webbings of lace
Smell: Caramel verging on butterscotch buttressed by earthy hops
Taste: Earthy hop forward with the malts building underneath; caramel and nuts through the middle; some fruity elements appear, after the swallow, but the finish reveals considerable diacetyl
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: An interesting hybrid, clearly not a traditional ESB; I would like this more without the diacetyl

22oz bottle - good to see more of this Inland Empire brew coming north to Alberta.
This beer pours a clear, medium orange-brick amber colour, with three fingers of puffy, rocky, and somewhat creamy beige head, which leaves some pleasant webbed tree branch lace around the glass as it rather slowly abates.
It smells of semi-sweet, bready and doughy caramel malt, a decent earthy dark orchard fruitiness, and herbal, woodsy, and grassy noble hop bitters. The taste is gritty, grainy, and still fairly sweet caramel malt, mildly biscuity toffee, muddled black fleshy fruit, a low-key hard water flintiness, and more floral, herbal, and softly grassy hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its supportive, and occasionally flirtatious frothiness, the body a solid middleweight for the purported style here, and genuinely smooth, as the hop presence leans towards its fruity side in this regard. It finishes well off-dry, the lingering biscuity caramel maltiness, and subservient grassy/herbal hops leaving little to question.
Overall, a pretty approachable and well-rendered ode to the venerable English ESB - no west-coast American bravado or overblown apery on display here. Easy to drink, with just the right amount of that little extra something (less than an additional point of booze) to make everything seem like it's gonna be all right.

A rock solid red ale. This would certainly make a visit to the laundromat much less painful. I'm a big fan of this brewery, and Spin Cycle helped solidify that opinion.

Draft beer at That Place in Richland, WA. Nice look. Not much for aroma. Malty and bitter taste, more so than other reds. Average for a red.

5.8% per the label.
Pours a murky dark orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, biscuit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, caramel, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop and toast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that has a lot of bread like aromas and flavors that work well with the citrus forward hops used in this one.
Serving type: bottle.
