A Double-IPA of the cosmic kind, this super-limited offering is brewed with two-row and caramel malts that lay the foundation for hops, hops and more hops.
The truth is out there, so send your taste buds to orbit with the out-of-this-world citrus and pine notes of Galaxy, Mosaic, Citra, Columbus and Ella hops.

16oz can purchased as a single from local bottle shop for $5.25 American dollars.
Slightly hazy, mellow orange elixir, vigorous pour into DFH chalice. 3-finger head, quickly forms a nice 3mm, sterling white head. Thick lacing forms crazy 3D apparitions over the inner vessel.
Tropical fruits: tangerine, mango, pineapple--all there, combined with a nice, subtle lemon and pith/rind overtone. A bit of bready malt.
The tropical fruits and floral tones really come through and the hop bitterness is tamed by a nice fructose wave. Some of the malt comes through on the back end but the overall aftertaste is smooth and fruity.
This is a medium body, smooth tasting brew with the alcohol well hidden. Nicely carbonated but not over the top. A bit of a sticky aftertaste which quickly resolves.
A well done DIPA with a nice tropical/floral flavor that is easy drinking considering the expansive ABV.

My last for the day. I have been hard at The CANQuest (tm) since I got home, but this is the upper limit for yours truly.
From the CAN: "A Double-IPA of the Cosmic Kind"; "82 IBUs"; "Does NOT Contain Juice"; "Roswell, Area 51, Comet G7P, Alien Abduction, Space Juice" did not make the cut for its name.
I beCAN by cautiously Crack!ing open the vent as I beCAN my slow, gentle Glug into the awaiting glass. I had no idea what sorts of alien prizes might be lurking inside nor was I terribly anxious to find out, although I was quite anxious. It quickly formed two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with excellent retention, leaving behind a plethora of spores. 8=O Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9). Nose was a grapefruit bomb, yo! 8=) Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but close. The taste was a riot on my tongue, stripping away old, dead taste buds to make room for the newbies. Grapefruit was prevalent, followed by a boatload of tropical fruit, then some pine resin & finally a wash of caramel malts to douse the flaming heat that had been generated. Phew! I sat back, stunned. This was no playin' around, yo. Finish was semi-dry to dry with a cool menthol mintiness that really literally took my breath away. I quickly reached for my asthma inhaler, ready to hand. Phew! I don't know what I had in mind for tonight's nightcap, but this far exceeded anything on my mind! YMMV

A: Heavy haze of tarnished orange, very juicy with a soft and mesmerizing rise of effervesce. Frothy milky head is one inch and sturdy. Really love the thick haziness. The lacing is thick and stratified down the vessel.
S: Fresh pineapple-mango juice has hints of apple juice. Fruity breakfast juice, oranges, with some light pear and watermelon. Wet citrus with a nice blend , good strength, fresh and juicy appeal.
T: Fruity flavor, strawberry-citrus, fresh dripping wet grapefruit with a light tartness with a balance of tropical pineapple-mangoes. Flowery dry citrus hops finish things out with some bittering lemon peel and grapefruit tartness that lingers briefly.
M: Tingly sensation, thick juice like consistency, warming fruit alcohol glows on the inner cheeks.
O: Really love the fresh and fruity start, very juice like and aptly named, filled with a mixture of tropical and breakfast juice that soon turns to a soft grapefruit hop bitterness. Nice transition of flavor with a seamless flow of flavors gives this a high thirsty rate of drink-ability. Good sting of citrus-alcohol lingers there-after from the 8.7% upon the swallow.

Clear golden beer with a fluffy white head that leaves a curtain of lacing. Smells sweet and tropical with grapefruit, papaya, mango and a general overripe fruit scent. The taste is very juicy with tons of fruit. There is grapefruit and papaya with some grapefruit pith and pine at the end to balance it out. Very sold beer.
