Best long trail by far! Really great smell similar to stone enjoy by. Hops hit your tongue like a sledge hammer. Drinks like an 8 percent beer. Hop heads rejoice this one is a must have.

So I hardly ever talk bad about a beer if I don't like it. Generally it's a style thing. "I don't really like the style, but I'm sure it's what they wanted it to taste like."
But This is a style I love. Tropical and juicy ipas with some tangy piney notes.
BUT this beer tastes weird to me. I get a mid mouth sulfur taste. I have never experienced this before.
Someone else described it as a cardboard taste.
Definitely not for me.

Pours a mild gold with a nice head into my glass. Took a while to find this on shelves.

Lots of pine and citrus notes from the 4 different types of hops used (Columbus, Equinox, Mosaic and Chinook).

Hop profile is pine-dominant with a very light citrus undertone. Old school bitterness that envelopes the mouth.

Finish is also old school with a burning pine bite.

This is certainly more complex than the prior IPA recipe that they were using. It tries to strike a balance between citrus and pine but ends up being pine-dominant. I would like to see it in cans.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass bottled on 3/14/16. Pours an attractive orange with a half inch white head that does leave some lace.

Smell starts with fresh cut grass, papaya, tangerine, pine, and grapefruit rind.

Taste follows loads of tropical fruit, earthy hops, peppery zest, fresh cut grass, pine, and a nice grapefruit zing in the finish.

Mouthfeel is close to medium, plenty of life, a little dry, and very drinkable.

Overall this is a really nice and affordable IPA that may have just earned a position in my weekly rotation.
