Growler filled at DeCicco's Brewster, Brewster, NY

Pours a nice warm shade of brown with dark ruby highlights. Modest lite tan head, quickly departs, but leaves a super fine film and again fine fields of lace.

Dark malts, brown sugar and caramel on the nose.

Nose carries onto the palate. More sweet notes. Tasty enough alt/brown ale. Sessionable and/or useful as a base for a marinade. Nothing special, just a decent ale thats on the sweet side and highly drinkable.

On tap poured into a pint glass.

Pours a clear bright red with a small white head that dies quick. Nose. Is sweet and crisp, quite tame.

Taste is a bit bitter and quite sweet with his some toffee notes as well. Mouthfeel is creamy and rich with a light bitter finish.

20 oz Vermont pint at the brewery. Light head and lace. Sweet toffee aroma. Medium bodied mouthfeel, more body than I expected. Toffee taste with a mild hop bitterness in the finish. A nice easy drinking beer. Cool logo depicting the usual Long Trail bear and cow rebuilding after last year's flood.
