Notes / Commercial Description:
In our pursuit to bring you the most flavourful and unique beers possible, we are proud to release this tasty autumn ale. Handcrafted with an assortment of specialty malts and hops, we added a generous amount of pumpkin directly into the brew. Combine this with hints of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and allspice, and you've got a beer that you won't soon forget. Rich, satisfying and slightly spicy, our seasonal ale goes perfectly with your favourite dessert or traditional feast. But like fall, Pumpkin Ale comes but once a year!

Hazy yellow color with off-white head. Aroma has mostly spices associated with pumpkin pie but not really raw pumpkin. Taste has some spiced biscuits, grains and earthy hops with a light bitterness on the finish. Light body, medium carbonation. Overall it's decent but nothing really special.

Had a pint of this at a local Great Lakes tap takeover. Love the brewery, generally, and this did not disappoint although the style is not my favorite. But I love pumpkin and this fit the bill. Not overly spiced as some are.

22 ounce bottle served in a pint glass.

Pours a clear, orange color with a 1 finger head that dissipates pretty quickly. Really no lacing to speak of.

Smells great... spices, pumpkin and malts.

Taste pretty much the same. Not bad... not great either.

But at $7.99 (what i paid) for a 22 ounce bottle, there are better options at a better value.

Very nice, actually pumpkiny. Nice spice. A little too much carbonation.

Look: Light orange. Foamy white head that sticks around for a while.

Smell: Spices. Nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, etc.

Taste: Spices come through on this one (see above). Some caramel and some grassy hops as well. Pumpkin flavour not as strong as one would hope.

Mouthfeel: Light and watery, medium carbonation. Easy drinking.

Overall: My first pumpkin ale ever, so I can't compare it to much else. Not as "pumpkiny" as I thought it would be, but an interesting style to say the least. I'll definitely be trying more beers of this particular style. As far as buying this brew again goes, I'll pass.

Pours a clear darker golden colour with minimal head.

Light spicy pumpkin smell...some bready notes....some malt sweetness.

The pumpkin notes are more subtle this year it seems and more subtle than in other pumkin beers for sure. Seems a little maltier. Very nice.

Has a nice light mouthfeel. Seems lighter than the abv.

Overall this is a great beer. I look forward to it every year.
