This is a fairly big place that is usually busy. Has a well lit modern warehouse vibe with some big windows, red brick. Large full bar with some TVs, a very large and diverse beer tap tree, a few bottled beers, and great food including breakfast. Good sized menu as well. Interesting seating arrangement with a balcony and or 2nd level. Very friendly service and excellent quality overall.

An incredibly beautiful building with high ceilings and windows. The outside area was so beautifully lit up. There are lots of beers to choose from, many local, but you kind of have to pick through them for the gems. Try a flight or two. The "local" flight wasn't as impressive as the "a la carte" I chose. We ordered gorgonzola waffle fries and a salad to go with the beers. Yummy! Our waitress was good, but a bit slow, considering the crowd. Henry's is a classy place that begs to be savored.

Unimpressed. Sat at the bar with and service was slow. Nothing original here. Had a chain feel to it. With all the options in Portland, time is better spent elsewhere.

All the talk on Portland had my expectations high and they were not met here. Okay tap list. Pre-fabricated vibe. Service was great and the TV's were awesome. Won't go back.

Went in May 2015. We sat upstairs. The food is pricey, but very good. The beer is copious. I could spend days in there trying them all. Halfway through our meal the place literally filled with teenagers in dresses and suits doing prom, but they were actually fine. Not boisterous or obnoxious. It was good.

This is a great mashup of craft beer bar and sports bar. If the sports part of that doesn't appeal to uou it is advisable to stay away. Love that they have the sound to games rather than having to watch a greatbgame with lame music in the background.

I get it. There’s 100 taps. About 40% of them are crap, though. Food and overall prices are a bit high in comparison to the rest of the city. Henry Weinhard’s is an institution. Unfortunately, it’s not even brewed Portland anymore. It’s brewed in Texas. And Henry’s beer sucks anyways.

If you avoid the Henry’s beer you’ll be ok. They have a lot of unique and cool offerings. They had a Boneyard on draft, for example.

Spend your time and liver capacity at other places when visiting Portland.

It's not often that you sit down and the server hands you a large menu and you notice that both front and back lists nothing but BEER! Over 100 on tap! Located in the old Henry Weinhard's brewery the atmosphere is hip and there is a cool outdoor deck where we sat. Servers are knowledgeable and friendly. Too may beers and so little time!

Visited in Feb 2012. The staff were very helpful in selecting from the huge selection of taps based upon the styles that I liked and the tasters were unending until I found a choice brew which did not take long. The service was very good. The food was very good. The atmosphere was perfect for a restaurant/bar. One thing that was nice is that the bar had an eating area but there was a seperate table/booth area in case one did not want to sit in the bar area, of course I preferrred the bar area. There is a ice line built into the bar so you can keep your cold, nice touch! I will be back during my next visit to Portland, OR.

Hands down the best tap selection in Portland. Better than Horse Brass. Better than APEX. They score some pretty amazing beer, and a great selection of rare beer as well. They are very Northwest centric with some other states popping on the list, but overwhelmingly west coast.

My beef is with the super frat-tastic crowd (mostly Thursday through Saturday nights). There is a younger crowd, all dressed up for a night of clubbing, getting loud, girls with far too much cheap perfume... I ONLY sit at the bar in at a side table next to the bar as to better avoid the "My new haircut" guy. Add to that a terrible and loud music selection and you have the recipe for a headache. It makes it a bit tough to really sit down and enjoy the beer. On the up side, most of the time during the day or on off nights (during college season) the bar is a lot tamer.

Like Bridgeport brewing, the place seems sterile. They took an historic building and put in all the super modern fixtures. Not my cup of tea.

But you really can't ignore 100 taps of amazing beer (well 97 taps since budweiser, bud light, and miller lite are three). It's worth checking out on an off night unless you don't mind the boisterous frat boy crowd on weekends.

Spending some time in Portland. Needed to try some of bars. Henrys is an interesting place - perhaps a bit upscale for the Market, but it's roomy, clean well staffed and clearly a quality joint.

I had several local IPAs that I'd never even heard of - none of em really were the big hop-monsters I was hoping to find. Good, but a bit mild. I realise the selection rotates, and big IPAs are popular, so I just got an unlucky draw. The overall tap list was impressive, heavy with local breweries, but both coasts, the Midwest and Co were represented.

The food was stunning. I tried a pear-walnut salad and a Thai curry prawn dish. Both were on the HH menu, and were well-prepared and fabulous.

Beer prices seemed about a buck higher than most other places I've been to here. I'm used to NYC/DC pint prices ($7-9) so their $6-7 range was a nice reprieve for me personally.

Definitely my favourite Portland spot, so far...

This lively bar has several sections, as well as a variety of places to sit - at a bar, in a booth, at a table. They have an astonishing selection of beers from the Pacific Northwest, so if ever you are in Portland, this place should be on your To Do list. Waitstaff are helpful and well-trained, and will gladly assist in picking out some brews. I did not notice any macrobrewed swill, and I sure saw a lot of beers I wanted to try! Food is very tasty and not too spendy. There are plenty of TVs, but when I was there the sound was not on.

A: Blah. Walked in and went left to the bar, pulled up 2 seats, no one at the bar other than wifey and I. No service. It took a while. The girls seemed to be pretty chatty at other end of bar. We got out beer. This place is sordove darker and has a trendy vibe to it.

Q: The beer selections is well thought out. it can please anyone. No crap on tap but nothing rare either.

S: Slow, uninviting and just plain average at best for it to be so dead.

S: Very good. Lots of WA and OR beers and thats what I liked. Craft beer for everyone here.

F: No try.

A: Nice place, with both a restaurant and large bar located in downtown PDX in the building where Henry Weinhard's was brewed back in the day. Packed on a Sat night, Felt kind of trendy, but we didn't feel out of place in casual attire.

Q: The overall quality of everything about this place was very nice...nice atmoshphere...nice food...great beer selection.

S: Service was pretty good...attentive and nice enough.

S: Excellent beer selection...multiple taps across a wide range of styles. Stuck with the hometown boys--Lompoc, Alameda, and Laurelwood. Very, very tasty!

F: Excellent food with a very nice menu. Ate a tasty flatbread with fennel sausage, blue cheese, apple and cashews and a very nice salad. Even the wife commented that they had a lot more than "typical pub fare." ... a bonus for us beer lovers if the wife wants more than pub food.

V: Thought the food was decently priced, but thought the beer was way overpriced ($6 pints) for beer that came from just up the road.

Overall: Nice place with good food and a great tap list. Worth hitting if the wife is tired of brewpubs and wants something a little nicer.

Henry's seemed to have a yuppie/trendy feel to it which I normally dislike. But for F's sake, it was a chance to get away from many of the hipsters and/or people who intentionally dress as though they are homeless. Once inside this place I knew that nobody would be asking me for $1 towards their stay at some hostel or vegan lunch.

Decent happy hour prices and options were available here, and the draft list was similar to what you can find at a Yardhouse or Saucer. Good broad range of beer choices were available. Normal pricing for both food and drinks seemed a bit high though.

Servers seemed to know much less about beer than most places in Portland that I visited.

This is a great place to go for a wide range of different beers and food in downtown Portland. Although not a brewpub, it carries a large and highly varied selection of beers from Pabst, Henry Weinhard's, and the like to unusual and high-quality top-notch craft beers from far away.

The atmosphere is excellent, being a real and very nice restaurant inside rather than pub- or bar- or brewpub-like, which can be a nice change when still seeking out beer. The menu is extensive and highly varied and in our experience the food is excellent. It can be loud, but although packed when we were there it was still more pleasant and less jarring than the Rogue pub in the Pearl, even though Rogue was less busy.

Quality of beers is also really good, with a lot of excellent craft beers from Oregon, Washington and California, along with some from other states. It also has a large number of European beers and not just the basics like Newcastle (although it has those, too), and has Young's Double Chocolate Stout on tap plus some good German beers.

Beer selection is huge, highly varied, and outstanding. It has something for everyone and in various price ranges, macro US lagers, Euro-lagers, good quality European classics, great craft beers of all styles, and all beers are listed by the style.

Service is very friendly and attentive and very efficient, even though when we were there it was packed.

I rarely go in here despite the 100 taps, the atmosphere is just not my thing. This is definitely more of a swanky place attached to an expensive restaurant that just happens to have 100 taps. They pretty much always have a solid number of quality beers on tap, but I wonder a bit how long they might sit around since the crowd is usually not the beer geek folks, so who else is going to walk in there and get Pliny the Elder (which last time I heard was always on tap, is that true?). The most notable thing about the place for me is that they have BY FAR the most attractive wait staff I have seen in Portland. I mean ridiculously attractive women. Cool spot for a post dinner date drink. I'm basically giving this an insane high overall rating but it is far from my fav place in town.
