Fairly small beer selection, it seems like no one in Chattanooga operates a "beer" store, just liquor stores that sell beer. Basic Stone lineup with several Unibrou beers and Ommegang's Hennepin. I guess selection can be better because I saw several empty spots that had beers listed. Time to do some re-ordering. I didn't notice any beers with dust or expired dates, so they have that going for them. The guy working their was friendly enough, but nothing really worth noting. If you're in town, stop in, but don't get your hopes up too high.

This building is a bar (left side), liquor store (middle), and beer store (right side). This review is for the liquor store.

Stepping into this place is like stepping into a time warp. Grimey stained carpet looks like it's from the 70's.

They have one very small shelf of beer, 8 or 9 beers at most. Only upside was a couple of them I'd never seen before. I didn't check any bottle dates but got the feeling no one was buying beer in there. The beer store on the right has practically no selection either. The bar on the left side is where all the local punk & metal bands play.

To put a kind of disclaimer on this, Ziggy's is more of a liquor than a beer store; that said, their liquor selection is more than adequate. However, since this is a beer site, I'm reviewing this place based on its beer selection, not its liquor selection. And its beer selection is pretty bad. It falls somewhere between the average gas station and the average supermarket in terms of selection. The only real reason to go here is if your other options are already closed for the evening. It has a very dingy atmosphere that smells like cigarettes. Avoid this place if at all possible. And really, with Riverside so close, you might as well go there anyway.
