Pours a straw gold with medium head that leaves a few spots of lace. Nose is light yeast esters and so e grain...mild copared to the top hefes...but clean. Taste follows with a clean profile without any real flaws, but flavors are muted a bit like they are going for easy drinking mass appeal instead of flavor or anything original. That's not really a problem...this is a highly crushable hefe and one I'd happily reach for in a hot day when I don't want too much going on. Yes...I'm giving this an extra .25 in the overall score because it only cost 1.10 euro for a .5 liter can. Value does mean something.

Overall, a grea beer. Poured into a glass - cloudy, golden color with a decent-sized head, slow to disappear. Strong citrus flavors mixed with wheat. Crisp and a rich aftertaste, sweet to the taste, but not too much so. I'll get this again.

Löwenbräu "Löwen Weisse Hefe-Weissbier"
500 ml can
Typical appearance. Effervescent with an excellent head retention and great lacing. Banana and clove in the aroma... and fully flavored with a richly grainy wheat malt base and all of the expected ripe banana and clove that the nose suggests. Moderate but balancing bitterness. Medium bodied and gently bristling in the mouth. If there's a flaw to this beer it's that it's just a bit too polished and balanced - as if that was possible, but at the same time there's nothing that really stands out to remember other than 'it was an almost perfectly balanced and polished, highly drinkable weissbier'. Anyone who drinks weizens, regardless of whether they're a fan of the style or not, should try it!

Who would have thought I would have found this one in a Hong Kong supermarket. Poured from a 16.9 oz. can. Has a cloudy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of banana and spices. Taste is very refreshing, spices, banana, a touch of sweetness, the glass is empting quickly. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

500 ml can, poured into a wide glass.
Pours a hazy light-orange beer with a one finger head with good retention.
Aroma is fruity with a banana smell.
Taste is great, bitter with a sweet finish.
Medium thickness on the body and average carbonation.
Overall, I great beer and I really enjoyed it.
